Not one day goes by without me being able to tell someone: keep savegames before important events. I.e. before the end of Jack's loyalty mission in her old cell on Pragia.Errol Dnamyx wrote...

OH YEAH MIRIMANIA IS RUNNING WILD, BRRRROTHER *flexes*
(Takes big hammer to the device playing that music)
No, there probably won't be a consensus for an official Mirimaniacs theme if this is any indication. I'd rather use one of the ME2 themes. Even the galaxy map theme would be better.

That and also do Miranda and Jack's loyalty missions asap before the story progresses too much. Its very easy to charm Legion and Tali with only 50% paragon at the end game. Thats not the case with Jack and Miranda

I agree very much. She might have unconsciously looked for someone she can respect, which probably isn't easy considering her own capabilities, but although Shepard is a legend who might live up to his reputation and earn her respect, a man on your own operating table, legend or not, isn't one you fall in love with.DarthReavus wrote...
More fool them I say! Though I'm sticking to my guns on why Miranda was cold towards Shepard once he was awake. I just don't buy the idea that she'd properly fall in love with him considering she had no interaction with him apart from that one episode in two years. It just seems more likely to me that fall in love with the ideal of Shepard rather than just his comatose body.
Well the point I was trying to make wasn't that she had fallen in love with Shepard, more that she had grown too attached to one of her 'projects'. She probably knew she was starting to care for him too much, so she gives him the cold shoulder to start off with.
Then I think if we combine our two theories into one mega theory Andy, we'll have hit the proverbial nail on the head and come to a consensus that makes sense
I could agree to that.
*Waits for Ieldra to post incredibly detailed hypothesis that completely destroys his theory*
It's extremely hard to admit, but I can't look into Miranda's mind. The beauty of it is that we can all imagine how and when our Shepard falls in love with her and vice versa. All hypotheses here are more or less possible, but I do prefer the theory that she was looking for an ideal, someone like "Shepard the icon" as she puts it in the intro. But she's also a realist, and so doesn't expect him to live up to the legend. It should also be said that you can usually avoid falling in love if you really don't want it, or at least that's my experience, although you cannot fall "out of love" once you've taken the jump. So, I think that she didn't fall in love with him in the intro or during the project, but that the thought "I wonder what kind of man he is" may have been floating around in her mind for some time.

Yeah, but did you see the episode of Chuck where Tricia Helfer guest starred? Yvonne made her look almost average in comparison. And this is coming from someone who's only ever lady crush before Yvonne was Tricia in BSG.andysilv87 wrote...

I don't know, I thought she looked pretty good in the Chuck episode. Although the best part of that episode was Casey's uber-crush on her. That scene where she is "polishing her guns" is priceless.
OT: It's good to see you back online more recently Meg, did you get your PC fixed? I know this is completely OT but I just remembered it and thought I should ask, lol.

Whilst I agree that you can avoid falling in love with someone if you don't want to, as I myself can switch myself off very quickly, it's also worth noting you need to notice what's happening first. If Miranda slowly and gradually fell for the ideal of Shepard combined with him on her operating table over those two years she may not have seen what was happening.
Slow and gradual change/development is a lot harder to recognise and avoid than the same happening in a relatively short space of time.

In the end had Miranda and Samara. Chose Miri first and Sam second. Slid after Sam, Miri was the one under the rubble. In the end, it was Miri who helped me up on the Normandy.
After that I don't know if it really matters the order of choice, it seems just random.

I wasn't saying she didn't look good. She absolutely did. I'm just kind of biased to her bleached hair look from BSG, I guess.andysilv87 wrote...

Anyway, yeah, I finally managed to fix it. Although I haven't turned it off in a few days because I'm afraid it will die on me again, lol. Thanks for asking though.

That's good to hear!
As for the Tricia vs Yvonne...I've decided it's Yvonne for me, the accent swings it.
EDIT: I should mention that the other day Darth was trying to convince me to finally watch season 1 of BSG (and describing a few Tricia scenes) and now you mentioning it...I might finally start wathing it tonight. Anything with a woman strong enough to set off a "lady crush" has got to worth a shot, right?

I know, i always do both of their missions asap, but I wanted to do it different this time just for the lols and because I thought I can calm Miranda down without consequences for the romance after telling her to back off.
Anyway, thats what I get for playing with Mirandas feeling.

Not going to like - I actually thought the same thing.

Gotten ourselves to the point where anything we'd post will reveal our major plot villian.. and not sure if she wants to do that yet or not.

There's got to be some Shepard/Miranda interactions that don't reveal the villain. Surely!
