Ah, thanks. I had read chapter 3. As for Miranda assuming command, it wasn't clear that Shepard was unfit for duty, just that he had nightmares. I've read both chapters again, it remains a bit confusing.DarthReavus wrote...
They're in my blog Ieldra. As for Miranda giving orders I've just used assumed military protocol. She was always Shepard's Executive Officer from the beginning, so with Shepard currently unfit for duty she assumes his responsibilities temporarily.Ieldra2 wrote...

Just read your chapter 4. What can I say - very nice work. I very much hope you can keep it up.
You hit Miranda perfectly, I could almost hear her speaking and see her walking while reading, especially when speaking with Anderson. And nice scenes overall. Miranda with Shepard at the start comes across as very natural. Garrus is perhaps a bit off in his greeting to Anderson - I don't think he'd greet Anderson without a little of his typical dry humor.
One thing concerning the plot. If I understood everything correctly, Miranda lets Joker fly the Normandy to the Citadel on her own authority. Maybe I've missed something - somehow your chapter 3 went past me, I think - but that needs an explanation.
Do you have your fanfic somewhere in one piece, so that when I want to read the earlier chapters again, I can find them?

It seems I may have not made it totally clear, but it's only been less than a week since the end of the suicide mission, which isn't really long enough to be fit for active duty after being seriously wounded.Ieldra2 wrote...

It doesn't really look like she wears any make-up besides eye liner and a little blush.
Or she really knows what she's doing and you just don't notice. But I'd bet it's all natural.

Ah...now I understand. I think there are several factors at work here. Time and space aren't that well defined in the ME universe in the first place, then the long pauses between reading the chapters tend to muddle things further, and lastly - I skimmed the chapters again - it seems you really don't say or even imply anything about that .DarthReavus wrote...

It just sorta goes against her more feminine reputation, especially when Jack wears tons of it.

Though in the case of Miranda's assets, we have both in spades.
