Actually, died once but the position of Miri and Sam on the squad hud and keys didn't change. Sometimes it changes, others it doesn't.

Yeah, but did you see the episode of Chuck where Tricia Helfer guest starred? Yvonne made her look almost average in comparison. And this is coming from someone who's only ever lady crush before Yvonne was Tricia in BSG.

That was a good episode, I fully expected something to happen between Casey and Tricia Helfer's character.

He's less prone to emotion by far than Sarah is, but he has been known to slip up every now and then...

“Any last words, Commander?”



Shepard fell to his knees, defeated. He had failed – that bastard had won. He was in no shape to try and take out these mercs alone – and he had so foolishly threw his gun away when he attempted to take him down in a fistfight. Another mistake – another life he would lose… and the most important life it was to him. The life of the woman he loved. He tried not to cry – he needed to stay strong in his final seconds.



Lost in his sorrows, Shepard didn’t hear the five quick sniper rounds echo through the corridor – killing the mercs lined up in front of him. What did take him out of his trance, however, was a familiar turian hand resting on his shoulder.



“Shepard.”



He turned his head slightly, “They took her, Garrus.”



Garrus leaned down and wrapped Shepard’s arm around his neck, helping his friend stand on his own two feet. Garrus thrusted his battle rifle into Shepard’s chest. He looked down at it, the anger beginning to once again fuel him.



“Then let’s go get them,” Garrus said, smirking as he knocked a thermal clip out of his sniper.



An evil mood overtook Shepard, and as Garrus was taken aback by the dark intentions he saw in his Commander’s eyes, what he said next equally surprised him, “We are going to kill them, Garrus…



We are going to kill them all.”

If I had to play a mission to rescue Miranda from somebody, Garrus would be my first choice squadmate. He and Miranda make up my regular team, so he'd be guaranteed to be in the hunting party...

To be honest mate, I made that pretty much for you. That way when you want to request an excerpt you have an image to go along with it.

Rath, I'm guessing that the Shepard in the fanfic is a Soldier? Only reason I ask is because if that were to happen to a biotic Shep I imagine he'd pull the guy's spine out through his ribs rather than go for a punch up.

Certainly if such a thing happened with my Shep he'd biotically dismember every b*stard Merc that so much as touched Miranda. Literally to the point where their skeletons and flesh are in seperate piles. To the point where even Jack would be impressed by the brutality and Grunt would be smiling like the Cheshire Cat.

EDIT: Very funny Andy, but also very handy.  Well, I guess that's good enough for me to give you back the keys to your Star Destroyer.  Play nicely now!
