EDIT: Very funny Andy, but also very handy.  Well, I guess that's good enough for me to give you back the keys to your Star Destroyer.  Play nicely now!

Right ladies and gentlemen, it's been fun but now I'm afraid I must go to bed. Stupid crappy, frakin' work stupidly frakin' early in the morning.

Go Garrus, go Garrus, go go go Garrus!

If I had to play a mission to rescue Miranda from somebody, Garrus would be my first choice squadmate. He and Miranda make up my regular team, so he'd be guaranteed to be in the hunting party...

EDIT: And how can I forget, great work!

Good work guys! Certainly my Shep's rescue party would include Garrus, but it'd likely also include Grunt.

Krogan - for those times when you really want to drive the point home.

I can understand your frustration, Darth, but try not to choke too many underlings. :P

I fully support this and other threads like it. I would welcome the return of most of the ME2 love interests in ME3 on one condition:

Character designs (visual or personal background) aside, BioWare should let the relationship between the LI and Shepard develop more fully, just as it did in ME1. Consequently, any time invested by the player into developing their Hero/Heroine will feel justified and more meaningful, as opposed to, "Me Shepard. You Miranda. You come swing on my vine."

In ME2, I feel as though they just threw in some mundane dialog and a few sex scenes to please the erotica fans. Tali and Subject Zero are the only exceptions to the latter, but only slightly.

like most of the people chose Miranda for her looks; as an LI shes very badly done. Many of the Shep, responses where rather awkward considering her dialog; even Ash was better , and she isnt exactly anything more that an superficial romance.

I was hoping fot an loyality conflict , torn between cerberus and Shep

Kinda wish Me LIs where similar to DA at least, tha main thing i miss from that game

Not everyone will agree with you as you can tell a lot in here would disagree with your statement but whatever.

I think a few people here would disagree.

In fact froma writing and depth point of view, she actually is the best of the LI's imo.

Sorry to abandon ship guys, but I've gotta love ya and leave ya! (hope that didn't sound weird) I'll be back online tomorrow morning. Try to keep the thread alive as best you can, remember if all else fails, use the Yvonne Effect ™.

A lot of people agree that the DA LI's compared to ME (1 and 2) are vastly superior - but one thing I would like to note;

Her LI isn't about the lines itself - it's about reading the body language between the two and how the lines are voiced by Miranda.

How the relationship also works also depends on your responses. I never got the awkward feeling from Shepard because I never picked the responses that I saw would cause such. IE - The "just want you in bed" etc, lines.

Regarding the superficial comment - I guess it's all opinion. For a lot of people in this thread, it was her personality and how we felt she was an equal to Shepard in many ways pschyologically that attracted her to us. But, to each their own!

Thank you for your opinion.

and apparently! you haven't even beaten the game where she chooses you over Cerberus.

But hey get the facts straight next time!

I actually think that Miranda is very well done as an LI... there are specific points in the later conversations where you have to hit the "Renegade" choice to really see that (e.g.. the "No Promises" dialog and response is 1000% better than the "I Promise" one...).

I have to disagree there, her character really develops and changes as the story progresses especially at the end she chooses Shepard over Cerberus.
You are right about one thing though, DA romances are much better written than ME ones
