Oh well I haven't seen either. I tried BSG, but never really got that hooked into it. Just not my type of characters I guess. Now I need a proper save and some guy who could tell me about the Shep Spacer convo with his/her mother. Anything neat?

Battlestar Galatica was an epic sci-fi show, thank god it was rebooted and ended with a bang.

No, she just talks about her drunk military friend that tries to hit you up for money and asks you to direct him to the Alliance office to seek help. He is traumatized by a battle he was in where he saw Batarians take his squad mates and torture/kill them.

I actually found the last season quite disappointing. The rest of it was awesome, though, and I still love the show.

BSG is a great show. Also I think that Earthborn Sheppard's special quest with his old gang buddies is the best one.

I haven't done any of them, so I can't say. I know what they are all about now though, since Spacer is only one with parents left... I want to go with that to ME3. I just need a save with Spacer/War Hero/Paragon. Playing ME1 when it looks quite horrid and feels bad due to epic sequel, just doesn't do it any justice. ^_^

I perfer spacer, not because of the quest, but just because of how people treat you. As a spacer, Ashley and Kaidan both look up to you in a way, just like war hero is the best IMO.

I still love ME1 as the foundation for the masterpiece that was ME2. I think the whole parents thing is alright, but I go with Earthborn because it feels better. The only one that I think is cliche is the "parents died in slaver raid".

Stargate woo! Watching all seasons in 2-3 week long marathon was mind numbing though.

That background I find is good for a pro human Shepard.

Maybe, but I think orphans and parents dying horrific deaths are just way too cliché for all heroes. There are just too many of them in bad roleplay scenes and in games as well. Not sure why I picked it up on my first through though. Guess I thought being Earth guy would be some sort of rare thing in the game.

I just didn't really like the Spacer origin because I thought the "interaction" with Sheppards mom wasn't all that great. I mean hell you don't even see what she looks like.

Also it feels like the Spacer Sheppard had an "advantage" over the other origins. The Earthborn one makes me feel like Sheppard worked a lot harder to get where he is now, so his accomplishments mean a bit more (just my opinion tho, so no need to go spread it around).

Yeah, well I find it odd that they took to account, that Shepard could be pretty much any looking and still in DA:O the Human noble could be all dark, but still have white parents.

I don't know about the interaction, but I find the ME2 things that it brings... coolish. Some small news about your Shep's mother passing a promotion, because she feels like she is better able to honor your Shepard's name in the position she is currently in. ;)

Did you stick with the Earthborn origin or pick another one for your main save?
