I agree. I've made a lot of pictures in her loyalty mission. To have the choice of the black outfit there would be very nice. The white one grows on you, too, but I think the black one outlines her body shape better, while the white one draws attention to details of her features, and I usually prefer the former.
Just a thought popping into my head:
Has it occured to anyone here that Tali might be so popular because with her face hidden all the time she's the perfect projection screen for everyone's fantasies? In some way she's more "perfect" than Miranda - where's there's nothing to see, there's nothing to complain about.
I've wondered this once or twice myself. I think it makes a lot of sense. Everyone has a different idea of "perfection". We all think Miranda fits that description pretty well here, but obviously not everyone thinks so. With Tali, her body shape and voice are the only things we're really sure of and the rest is left up to our imagination. It's pretty easy to see why she's so popular. She's basically a half-formed work of art that's been left for the fans to mold to their liking.
That said, I've also wondered how so many of the loyal Tali fans would react if her face were ever revealed? I think it would cause an uproar no matter how Bioware portrayed her simply because every person has a different idea of her in their heads. That's one reason I highly doubt Bioware will ever do that. That's also why I thought their decision to keep it hidden in ME2 was a good one. Fans may not have been happy about it, but ultimately I don't think any truly loyal Tali fan quit liking her because of what wasn't revealed. However, if Bioware revealed it, we would probably have a thread as long as the Tali thread that was a bunch of former (and current) Tali fans discussing their disappointment/hatred/disgust/etc with her face.
