The way I saw it, he got pissed off because a) it's not really Shepard's business andhe got shot down while she's showing more of an interest in him than she ever did for Jacob.
I'm not saying there was never anything between them. I believe they probably did develop some sort of a relationship beyond friends, but did either of them act on it? And did they take it to the bedroom? I just don't see it. Miranda was and is Jacob's boss after all and she takes her responsibilites very seriously. She wouldn't just jump into bed with a subordinate because it suits her.
That's just my opinion though. If believing they had sex makes the game better or more real for you then don't let me stop you.

Good points. I support this logic. I also don't see how any of his comments could be taken to "heavily imply" they had sex. Or even subtly imply it. If we were reading that far into things then we could say some of TIM or Miranda's comments implied that they did the dirty dirty.

I actually think it's really interesting to compare Miranda and Jack when it comes to how they deal with childhood trauma. Neither one has had any meaningful relationships in their adult lives. Jack, for lack of a better term, becomes a sociopath. She approaches everything with a "devil may care" attitude, so she runs around killing, causing mayhem, screwing all kinds of people, etc. Miranda goes the opposite direction and basically closes herself off from everyone, puts up a facade (and I'm convinced that her ice queen routine is just that, a facade, and not her actual personality), etc.

I bet not too many have noticed it. It's only mentioned in one line and that's when she gives you the option to research an upgrade to her biotic damage. I'm sure very few people read the flavour text for the upgrades so they'd miss it.MegWithAMouth wrote...

@Meg - I think Thane's death may be more imminent than Jack's as humans still have huge life expectancies in the ME universe anyway, plus we do not know the extent of the degeneration either so Jack may only be getting 1 or 2 years taken off.

I agree with you firecleaner - however, some women of my acquaintance don't believe that men and women can be just friends.

Ya we've discussed this a few times and most people believe that all biotics suffer from some type of neural degeneration, and it generally leads to a decrease in their biotic abilities. But with Jack her biotics are actually increasing. It's normal for all biotics. So I don't think it's anyting to worry about, it's probably a very late long term problem.
