Rath, beware, Meg is using the fact that she writes most of your fanfic against you to pass blame!I smell conspiracy...*sniffs*

I don't mind him as a friend, but as a LI it is just outright terriable.

It all makes terrible, terrible sense now.
What cleverly laid trap have I fallen into!?
Haha, and yes - this is a looooove thread, so let's continue being lovable individuals.
To provoke discussion;
If Oriana had been made first, do you think she would be the same as Miranda? Or do we know too little about her to actually discuss it?

As a Spectre you need to get the job done. Sole survivor Shepard did nothing except not die... hell he didn't even know Toombs also survived. At least the other backgrounds show Shepard at least completing the mission.firecleaner wrote...
@ Gutty I think Sole Surivior Shep fits in because he survived! As a Spectre your going to be in tough situations and you have to survive.... Akuze shows that Shepard has good survival skills or luck.
Sole survivor begins to make even less sense when you start to work with Cerberus in ME2. Suspension of disbelief is completely ruined for me.
I'll be sticking with my earthborn war hero till the end.

I was playing devil's advocate... my canon shep is Spacer/War Hero... I wish you could tell Cerberus to go **** itself everytime you talked to TiM but the writers shoved us down a forced path in this one....

Not realy, even as my spacer warhero who did not like Cerberus, I worked with them because they where the only ones who where doing something. The council was sitting on its ass and the Allience was just as useless as ever.

I agree that the Council is a bunch of retards but I despise Cerberus. They did a whole lot of sick ****.... and I was so happy when Shepard was like lose this channel.

At least Cerberus beleived in the Reaper threat, hell even Ash/Kaidan betrayed Shep in a way.

I think it's all in how you play it, personally.
But look at this through Shepard's eyes.
Beginning of the game - you show complete distrust of Cerberus, then you see Freedom's Progress.
You come to the realization that this threat is bigger than your past. That men and woman are being taken from their home for some unknown reason by creatures you know are working for the Reapers.
Your past can wait - but the mistrust doesn't have to go away.
You'll deal with Cerberus eventually, but innocent men and women are being stolen - and they're giving you the resources to stop them? My past can wait until this one is over.

I don't hate Cerberus, I just don't like some of there methods, and giving the base to TIM is just plain stupid, however I love Miri and was happy she quit Cerberus

I played my Shepard out how I would if I was in his situation.
Default Shepard, of course - but made decisions I would make.
Once I found out that Cerberus acts in cells - and that cell has no clue what another is doing, my distrust kind've seperated, in a sense. If Miranda had nothing to do with Akuze, I had no reason to distrust her.
I don't judge a whole organization based on the actions of a certain group. I judge people on personal experiences with them. I got over my past - and helped Toombs get over his by saving the life of a researcher from Akuze. I'd be going back on the emotional struggles I went through getting to that point if I hated ALL of Cerberus because of it.

The one and only answer, as far as I'm concerned.
