@Valmy: Lol, me too! I think it's so cute how he calls Shepard, "Shepard-Commander". Sidenote: The Shepard in that video was a jerk! Why wouldn't you use paragon interrupt? Poor Legion.
@Kab: Lol, I love you, man. This thread would be a very boring place without you. *shudders* I don't even want to think about it.
I needed that... I log off this morning and then the board explodes in action. I return and not only does it slow, but I come in here and people are bashing the silliness. Maybe I should wave ch 4 out of reach for those people and stick my tongue out

Wow. Those are both really good points. I hadn't thought of those things at all, but you're right. I bet Thane is a very good dancer when it comes to stuff like the tango. I see Samara being pretty well-rounded in her dancing. Jacob is probably good at club dancing because he is Kanye after all. Legion can obviously do the Robot. Miranda can crump dance and is probably proficient at ballroom dancing and the like. Seems like the crew of the Normandy could have a pretty rowdy dance party.Breakdown Boy wrote...

@Valmy: Lol! The Numa Numa song sold it! Ah, I will never get tired of seeing that scene.
@Breakdown Boy: Why do you think Thane and Samara would be the best? And at what kind of dance would they be the best?
Ok, I'm officially requesting that Miranda do at least one crump dance in ME3. It would be so classic! Legion does the robot and he is bad @ss at it. Why can't one thing Miranda does if you stand around by her be the crump dance? I'm sure Yvonne would love to demonstrate it for them.
Thane is an hand-to-hand figting specialist, he can move quickly and silently. If you watch the full cinematic trailer of ME2 you can see that Thane has the good moves. And Samara is an Asari, so she most likely moon lighted as a dancer for a couple of decades.

Aw, I don't think we were bashing the silliness in every distance. I know I wasn't. I just thought it was starting to overwhelm the thread with very little consideration for any Miri discussion. You proved you weren't part of that group by not only participating in, but writing the fic that initiated the discussion about Miri's mask the other night. :happy:Kabraxal wrote...

Well, I try to flit between silly and serious. If a topic catches my eyes then I will respond gladly. I find the emotional aspects of characters more interesting than most things, so sometimes I drift past a point about Miri's father or sister, unless it plays with how it affected Miri and such.

It seems there are more people than I thought supporting that idea so I'm definitely going to talk to Darth about it. I'll almost be disappointed if that doesn't happen now, lol.Vyndael wrote...
Btw Meg, you should totally put that request for the crump dance in the wishlist for ME3

Quick question... how should I deal with slam for Miri in my fic. Should I try to explain why she can only use it after the loyalty mission or should I simply ignore that as simple gameplay mechanics?
Simply ignore it as part of gameplay mechanics. From a story perspective she should be able to use slam the whole time IMO.

That was what I was thinking, but I don't want to create something that would make it jarring. Maybe I could play with the loyalty mission honing the skill instead of making it available.

Seriously! I can see it now. Shepard's standing in their quarters (see what I did there?) and suddenly Miranda stretches and starts to crump dance. Epic is the first word that comes to mind.Flashy91 wrote...

Oh, I can definitely understand that. I don't respond to every topic. A lot of times I feel like I can't add anything insightful to the discussion. Other times I feel like a retard who stumbled into a MENSA meeting(happens a lot when Ieldra posts). In the latter, I feel like the discussion is out of my league intellectually and posting in it would bring it down a notch or two.
My problem is with people who never post about Miranda period and only seem to be here for the side conversations. There aren't many of them, but there's a few.

I'm watching 28 Days Later and working on the fanfic. I'm finding this particular movie isn't really conducive to writing a touching Miri/Shep scene...KalenNighteyes wrote...

I agree. If you can't at least support Miri with some thoughtful posts from time to time, why even be here? As much as I love being silly, the reason I am here is to support one of my three 10's in the ME universe. The goddess needs some pampering and loving worship.
Also... imagined that dance happening. Shepard's reaction would be priceless. Actually, maybe I'll play with something like that. Have Miri let loose a bit when she thinks she's alone only to turn around, see Shepard, and blush. She does seem like the kind of woman that would have that happen to her.

I find Farscape to be extremely conducive for both Ash and Miri fics. But then Crichton and Aerin (spelling) are much like both of those relationships. Actually, Aerin might be a perfect mix of Ash and Miri.
Side note, sort of... I would love for the Ash/Miri romances to have a similar type of ending arc as Farscape. It would actually work for their characters I think.

@Kabraxal: You could have slam being triggered by her emotions. To my knowledge, she hasn't been so emotionally unstable until her loyalty mission. Otherwise, just ignore it.

Hmm, good idea.
As for those movies... I hate zombie flicks. I prefer my horror more atmospheric. The Thing and Silent Hill are my favourite horror movies.

I could definitely see her doing something like that. It would be so endearing too. We didn't get many glances into her softer, more carefree side in ME2 and I would love to see that explored more in fanfics/DLC/ME3.Kabraxal wrote...

@Vyndael: I actually really like RE1 and 2. I normally don't watch horror movies though because I'm a big pansy. I can't even play Left 4 Dead when I'm alone. lol. Ridiculous, I know.
