And here I was preparing for my short rant to Bioware about the delay with a Miranda action figure and our thread gets locked.

So let me start again. Why so long for a Miranda action figure, Bioware? I like you guys a lot, but I don't understand why she isn't on the first wave. But as long as she is on the second wave, I'm happy.

Still, I would like a Miranda figure a whole lot more if it was a high detail 8 inch PCV statuette, like those awesome anime figures (I have quite a few), rather than an action figure.

That decision was probably more up to DC Direct than BioWare. I do wish they'd get them out sooner though... August/December for wave 1/2 is kinda far off... oh well, at least we have the "Stop Smiling Dammit" pictures to get us by until then.

It sorta bothers me that Woo checks this forum so rarely.

IMO, they wanted to see just how large a thread (and how many large threads) the forum could handle before it affected performance.

Have they announced the "second wave" of action figures? In the first wave (Shepard/Thane/Grunt/Tali), there's only one human. And if you do one human action figure, it's Shepard.

So funny, too, I was thinking, "Oh, we're over 300 pages now, we have a solid community, I can take a little break from posting, get caught up on work a bit, play ZOMG STARCRAFT 2

I know, we all busted our balls yesterday to get to 300 too and now it's been taken away from us. Image IPB

Gone, but not FORGOTTEN!

(Reavus, you should add a little note to the front page of how many pages/posts Warming to Miranda 1.0 had before it was locked.)

The Stanley Woo quote at the start of the thread states the number of pages, but if you want me to restate it then by all means I will!

I think I've now fully edited it all back into a decent format, I'll just edit it again to link to the OT.

Wave 2 confirmed as Miranda, Mordin, Legion, and Garrus. Slated for December.

Read on strahowski.com (?) that her figure will be released in december along with some others. Should give us some time to decide for the best spot on the shelves for her.=]

I might be able to if I knew what on earth a hard line break was.  All I know is that when I copied ComTrav's old OP the formatting got screwed up so I've edited it to get it more normal rather than all weird and screwed up.  Only finished doing so a couple of minutes ago though.

Text with hard line
breaks, like this, doesn't
adapt to a different line
size when viewed in a
different format, as your
text quoted above does.

What I wanted to ask is: is there a link to the old thread in the new OP? I haven't seen one, but there's too much interesting stuff in there to let it rot on page 375 without a link for easy access.

Legion's not surprising, he's a great design and he'll make a good figure. And obviously I'm glad Miranda gets a figure.

but MORDIN is a pleasant surprise.

Shepard smirked and let out of a laugh. His smile quickly faded though, when he saw stirring behind Garrus, and realized that Collector reinforcements had arrived, “Get to cover!”

Enemy fire ripped through the air where they had been standing in seconds earlier – and as he ducked under cover, Miranda’s voice filled his head;

“Shepard, we’re almost to the door.”

“Acknowledged! Be prepared to provide suppression fire when you open the door – we’re pinned down here.”

“Affirmative - Miranda out.”

The comm channel clicked closed and Shepard looked up over his cover, firing a couple of bursts from his vindicator into the enemies. As he ducked back down into cover, he looked forward towards the door – watching as it’s machinations began to activate – and it slowly slide open. From the small crack that appeared – bullets hailed out of it – and into the oncoming Collectors.

“Shepard!” He heard Miranda cry out, “Hurry!”

Giving a quick nod and the signal to Garrus, Shepard picked himself up and rushed for the door. Garrus got there first, turning to unleash one last clip of sniper rounds into the incoming Collectors. It was then that he heard an all too familiar sound;

“Assuming direct control.”

Stopping in his tracks, Shepard turned to watch one of the Collectors become engulfed in a bright yellow light. As the being became visible once again, crevices appeared all over his body, an eerie yellow glow radiating from them. Its eyes had also changed – the lightest orange tinge they once had was also replaced by a strong vibrant yellow glow.

The being looked directly at Shepard, and an ominous voice, announced, “If I must tear you apart myself, Shepard, I will.”

Shepard smirked, and before turning around to run back to the door, he boasted, “Try it.”

He still had that look when he passed through the door – the look of a small personal victory – when the bullet singed past him. The look was replaced with horror as the resounding slam of the doors shutting timed itself perfectly with the bullet hitting Jacob square in the chest.

Jacob looked down, examining the hole where his lung once was. He looked up at Shepard, an expression of confusion on his face, as he body fell limp to the ground.

“JACOB!”

And here we go...

Enjoy.

I've put the link in to the old thread, I hyperlinked the old thread's name.

As for the hard line breaks, I've edited it as best as I know how, backspacing everything to put it into normal paragraph format.  I use Firefox, so if anyone using a different browser is seeing it differently to me let me know and I'll see if there's anything I can do.
