I'm kinda new to this thread.. but.. isn't it kind of a novelty to go without pics for almost 3 pages (not to insiniuate anything.. ofcourse..;p)?
And as far as that anouncement goes.. many of the fans are hoping for party-member related DLC. They can definitely do something interesting with Miranda.

edit: Well, that's 3 pages then.. very interesting:p

I haven't seen any update on the "great news" yet...did BioWare say what it is yet?

Nope.... Bioware is located in western Canada so the day is just beginning for them....

Do they not realize that they need to be working on MY schedule? *sigh*

Also, does anyone evolve Miranda's loyalty power further than the one free point? I always tend to max Warp and Overload and her Cerberus ranks instead.

I think Mass Effect is developed in Toronto with the Dragon Age team in Edmonton and The Old Republic team right here in Austin, Texas.

I maxed out Slam and usually brought Garrus along for overload.

Eh I think Overload is better IMO.

I don't know anything about the news either, sorry if I gave you that idea. Time difference between where I live and canada is probably around 10 hours.. so I'll probably see an update tonight, or tomorrow.

Would anyone care to speculate at how good Miranda's acting ability is? If she needed to pass herself as a brainless bit of arm candy for a mission, could she do it?

I think she could. IYou don't get to be an officer in an organization like Cerberus without acquiring undercover skills. Another question is whether she likes being undercover. Considering her general behavior, I think she prefers things out in the open.

Hey Mavi! Just more armour and a weapon, huh? Damn, I hope there's more than that.

Miranda "built for perfection" so I'm sure she could do practically anything she needed to do. I'm sure Miranda would find acting like a brainless bit of arm candy a little degrading, but I think, if its important enough, she'd do it.

Sorry to disagree here, but how she's been made has nothing to do with her acting skill. That's something you must learn, regardless of genetic tailoring.

True, while I do believe that she is capable of doing undercover work, I think she likes being direct and solving things quickly and efficiently.

That thread is pure speculation.  They have not announced anything yet.

Did anyone here notice the discrepancies in Miranda's timeline. Consider this:

2148: Discovery of the Prothean archive on Mars

2150: Miranda is born.

2151: Accidental discovery of how biotic ability can be triggered in humans.

Now, even considering that some people might have detected biotics earlier, they couldn't have done so without the Prothean archive. That means, Miranda's father had about two years to plan his daughter's genetic makeup and do all the premilinary work as well as the research needed to trigger biotics without unpleasant side effects. And she wasn't even the first one.

In short: Miranda's existence as a biotic is nonsense, considering the timeline.

Just another opportunity to take a shot at the nonsensically compressed post-discovery timeline of the human civilization. 37 years from discovery of the Prothean ruins to galactic power - of all the crazy things the ME universe presents us with, this deserves a medal as one of the craziest. They should've added a hundred years or two between discovery of the Prothean archive and the events of ME.

Oh, I don't think she likes it one bit, especially if she's pretending to be stupid or seducing someone. She'd much rather be leading a fire team or similar.I use it to partially explain why she opens up to so few people. She's had to pretend to let so many people in that she puts a very high price on her real self, whether as friend or lover.

A simple enough retcon, but then again, Miranda's father was a huge supporter of Cerberus who could have known about biotics among other things well in advance of a lot of folks.

Yes I have realized it.  I try not to think about that sort of thing too much.  I mean really the way humans are integrated into every organization in the galaxy realy the game should take place centuries after humanity joined the galactic community not decades.

But anyway....yes the timeline is messed up.

I honestly don't think she really realizes who the "real" Miranda is yet. Something the my Shepard is more than willing to help her with.

Cerberus didn't even exist back then, after all the name comes from the location of Jump Zero which was not even discovered yet when Miranda was born.

Maybe the name "Cerberus" didn't exist, but that doesn't mean the organization wasn't around under a different moniker. Hell, maybe I'm grasping at straws here...I dunno.

Ok it looks like it is a heavy weapon: http://social.biowar...index/1637405/1

Pity I was hoping for something more juicy with plot.

It's best not to think about it.

Vader-esque "NoooOoooOoooOoo!!"

Well, I'm not surprised. I don't expect any plot relative DLC to be free...so when something comes out with a price tag on it I'll start getting excited.
