I almost hope I'm wrong, but I could see Paragon Miranda going to a very dark place in ME3, She's defined herself for almost twenty years by her role in Cerberus and her sister is no longer being protected. I can see some self-doubt and bitterness rising from that.
Then again, I'm in the process of turning her into a war criminal, so what do I know?

It's definitely possible. Knowing how much she cares about her sister and how she was solely under Cerberus protection because of her that should definitely put pressure on Miranda. And yea she's used to being told what to do and given the things to do them and now it's probably not going to be like that so she has to get used to that. But, back to your point yes it would be bad in a sense, but it would also be interesting.

I could see that happening as well, but I think it wouldn't be that bad so long as we as Shepard get to bring her back to the light. I always play Paragon sooo Image IPB

Ditto to that Image IPBwell kinda I'm paragade Image IPBImage IPB

I've never been able to get my Renegade bar past halfway...while the Paragon one just kept growing and growing. I'm the kind of guy that feels bad for lying to the Krogan about the Presidium fish...Image IPB

Yea, I'm going to nuke her. I've never nuked her in any of my other 6 playthroughs. I've always romanced her. But, as I said I want to keep things "guilt" free for my Shepard when he begins to romance Miranda.

@Vamp - Yeah, I'm probably going to do the same when I get around to doing my Soldier Shep ME1 runthrough. Save the Council, save the Rachni, nuke Ash, Benezia and Saren.Image IPB

Yeah, thats the one thing that I regretted doing in my ME2 import. Even the Asari Council Member went from being kind of on my side to total biotch in the second game. I was like "come on chick I thought we had something here!!"

Quick question, has anyone read the ME books? If so, how many are there and how much do they have to do with the overall plot of the games?

Oh, I live and die by "interesting." Right, Vyndael? I'd rather have lots of juicy conflict than the happy ending.

Naah, I find it impossible to do purely one route. Admittedly, my playthroughs where I specifically don't try to be either Paragon or Renegade, I tend to find I'm quite high on both, but slightly more in the Paragon than Renegade.
(In the Jack vs Miranda face off, I could have done both options, likewise Legion/Tali) - then again, he does tend towards the pragmatic approach. He does good things for bad reasons and bad things for good reasons! Image IPB

Yea I know lol. But, the Turian councilor was a d-bag as always...but he gave me a good laugh. But, that lol wasn't enough to make me want to save them.

Yes, there's 2 out now and another coming in July I think. They don't really have to do much with the Reapers if thats what you're asking. First one takes places pre-ME1 and the second is post-ME1.
@Jtav: Definitely. Conflict/drama > happy ending

I could choose both options in those situations as well, it seems like I only needed the bars filled about half-way there. I'm just saying that at one point in the game my Renegade bar just slowly came to a halt, while my Paragon bar shot full throttle to full.

Is there enough background lore in them to warrant the purchase? Thats kind of what I'm wondering.

Well, the first one has some background on Anderson and Saren while the second gives you a look at Cerberus, the Ascension program mentioned in the game, and a small bit about Quarians. I don't really remember much about the first one but I really liked the second one.
