I went and extracted all the sound files from the suicide mission and what I've found is that Miranda is practically unkillable for any non-bloodbath playthough.

There is no "death speech" for Miranda so she can't die during the first section. Both maleshep and femshep don't have sounds to yell for Miranda for the swarm bit. Only these names are present: Jacob, Samara, Grunt, Garrus, Tali, Legion, Jack, Zaeed, Mordin, Kasumi, Thane. Miranda is practically guaranteed to survive till the squad selection for the final run.

The only ways to kill Miranda:
Choose an unloyal Miranda in the final party.
Not having many squad members to hold the line.
Having a few unloyal squad members to hold the line (I think Miri's 'defence rating' is lower than normal and thus she is picked off if *both* Mordin and Tali are not also holding the line).

Now for something different... trying to find some of Miranda's more quotable lines.
