Bit late, but better late than never - no snow down here in the Big Smoke. It's grey, but no snow.

Good one andy - I think Yvonne looks a damned sight hotter in the Orange Orange outfit than she did in the wienerlicious outfit.

Mission accomplished!

I must say the scene in the engine room is really very nice. I had watched its "Youtube preview", but it's different having it in your own game with your own Shepard instead of the default one (somehow, the default maleShep reminds me too much of this immortal collection).
Also got to see my Shepard lifted up into the Normandy by Miranda - didn't manage a good screenshot, though. Her position in the platform scene was, unfortunately, usurped by Grunt.
I'll have to take a break from playing for some time now - too many other things to do - but I'll keep my activity here up. As for playing an ME2 game with a maleShep and romancing someone else, I don't know if I can do it. Miranda has something of a singularity: once you're caught, there is no escape

I have a question : how do you remove the cerberus message during this scene ?

Errr. what are you talking about? If it's the interface reminder "Press F to continue", that's easy: just wait. If it's something else, I don't know what you're talking about.

But I don't remember that the message disappear.

yeah just wait...or a handy lil tip....press escape to go to menu screen...then escape back into game gets rid of it immediately and seems to take longer for it re-appear
Ok, thanks.

Since that first game... I have had no desire to romance anyone but her, and I really want to see her back in ME3 where she is still with Shepard as a LI and part of his crew. As for Liara... I will probably play thorugh that as well just to see the cause and effect, but Miranda is now my first choice for LI and I truly hope they delve into her background more in ME3 or maybe a DLC devoted to her and her father. That storyline can't be over with after what happen with her sister.

I'll have the same problem with my "Ashley" game, I suppose. But it's the parts *after* her loyalty mission that are hard to avoid. Before it's more of a flirt, which may prove harmless. After her loyalty mission things get serious.andysilv87 wrote...
@Ieldra: It is tough to avoid romancing Miri, she's just too much of a temptation. I've got to stay loyal to Liara on my current playthrough and it's killing me. I've decided to just not talk to Miranda until her loyalty mission, it's the only way I'll get through it!
But my next game will be my second ME1 femShep. Geh...yet another Mz. Shepard who'll stay unromanced throughout ME2, but this one at least may have a reunion to look forward to in ME3. I'd like to develop a real friendship with Miranda, too bad that's not an option.

That IS an option. She has as much screen time as LI'd Garrus, and her dialog is quite fitting. Most of 'filling between the lines' happens in your head anyway. I thought I was good friends with Jaana and Mariah back in Ultima 4, and they had 3 lines if dialog each, and most of it happened in combat.
Finding a friend can have as much impact on the character as love, if not more.

No, I'll stick with the consequences of breaking up with Ashley. OK, if they prove too disastrous, I'll have to replay the whole Shepard story, but I don't think they will be. As for femSheps, yes, that's one of my reasons as well. I have one femShep, though, who left her would-be-lover on Virmire - duty before personal feelings, you know, and I wanted a tragic event. No one appropriate for her in ME2 as well. I wonder how that will turn out.Prudii Aden wrote...
I've pretty much given up on my maleShep's being faithful - I'm sorta trying to do another ME1 playthrough without romancing either Ash or Liara so that I'll be spared whatever 'conssequences' Bioware has in store for ME3. My femShep is likely to stay faithful, mainly because I wasn't all that thrilled with the femShep relationship in ME1 and I've not heard exactly good things about them in ME2.
In ME1, I have three femSheps and one maleShep (not counting those I don't plan to continue). Miranda's the reaosn the men get a chance to catch up.

Is there any dialog between a femShep and Miranda after the post-loyalty mission one? In my first playthrough, I was too occupied with other things and missed a lot of talking opportunities.WindOverTuchanka wrote...

@Meg: I'll keep on the lookout for them and if I find anything, I'll post here.
Going to start an insane playthrough tomorrow, only did 2 and the second took me a week and a half due to lack of free time.
Are you guys able to stretch the relationship development? Is it worth it in your opinion? I tried with the second playthrough but ended up doing the same as in the first, doing her loyalty mission before anyone elses, even before having half the team recruited and then 2 or 3 missions after that had the line about meeting when we had free time. I just can't resist going to talk to her whenever I can.
I'm trying to figure out the best way to spread it out. I'll try to figure this out...
-Don't talk to her as soon as you get on the Normandy (you can ask her what she does, etc.)
-Talk to her after your first two recruits (talking about Cerberus, her gene mods)
-Recruit the other two squadmates, don't talk to Miranda
-Horizon, talk to Miranda (talking about her father)
-Do Jacob's loyalty mission
-Chambers will tell you Miranda wants to talk to you, talk to her (Miranda will tell you about her loyalty mission)
-Do her loyalty mission, recruit Thane or Samara, talk to Miranda (thanking you for helping her)
-Recruit Samara or Thane
-Collector Ship, then talk to her (first move into the "romance" zone)
After that, it's kind of harder to breakdown, since you aren't forced to do anything like you were with Horizon and the Collector Ship. You'll get two more convos with her, one of those just being her telling you she'll be by when it's quiet. There's still a lot to do after the Collector Ship (8 missions, IIRC). Tuchanka can be done in one fel swoop, as can Garrus and Thane's missions, and you can sort of treat the confrontation after Jack's mission as a convo, if you want so... here's what I've got.
-Mordin/Grunt loyalty missions
-Jack's loyalty mission
-Recruit Tali
-Garrus/Thane's loyalty missions, talk to Miranda afterwards ("don't die, damn it")
-Tali's loyalty mission
-Reaper IFF, talk to Miranda (last convo that repeats when you come back to talk to her)
And voila!
Toshi, that's incredibly detailed, but unfortunately I'm just unable to follow that. I just can't stay away from Miranda.
But kudos for all the thought that went into your script. Should make things feel more natural.

Indeed there is. 'Oriana is safe thanks to you'' is probably identical to maleShep. And 'You have achieved it all without genetic tampering' is shorter (no renegade kiss), but still there.
*Edit* oops, I hope I haven't spoilt it

I would say Miri is cute too though. I also place cute above beautiful. There is no such thing as "cold" cuteness.
And all these people trying break Miri's heart... shame on you!
Hey! I'm not trying to break her heart! I just think the whole Miranda romance plot might be more fulfilling if I stretch it across both games. I'm trying to choose the option that suggests that Shepard is interested, but wants to wait for a bit.
I've pretty much decided this what I'm going to do. If Bioware doesn't address this path you can take, I will be quite disappointed.
I don't know Toshi. I get that streching it out a bit might be better, but just because you're already in a relationship doesn't mean it can't develop in a meaningful way. I actually think it's the opposite, it's when you're in one that it starts to develop.
The problem is that Bioware treats romance in the game as having the start of the romantic relationship (love scene), the moment where they commit themselves to each other, be the endgame of that subplot. After that, when much more could be developed, it stops and aside from cuddling, there's nothing else to do.
I'm defifnitely completing the romance. As I said, I just can't resist Miranda<3. The thought of hurting or disapointing her in any way makes me feel like Alex DeLarge after his "therapy" whenever he had "improper" thoughts or listened to Beethoven's Ninth.
And I hope Bioware carries the romance over to ME3 and lets us develop the already existing relationship further throughout the game, through many more conversations and some missions that flesh out her past.

Damn, Horatio is ridiculous. Grissom is much better and cooler.
And I think Miranda would agree, if Lady Heather's reaction to Gil is any indication.

Really hope they change this trend soon....I know its more work, more VA to be paid for etc etc...but would transform the games and surely equate to a bigger and better following thus more sales?
