Miranda would be less interesting in a romance-only role, just like any romance unconnected to the plot would not much interest me as anything but a nice, but expendable addition.

You aren't alone. Maybe it's because I don't find her attractive, but I'll take a big, juicy role any day of the week. Though both is better.

It's quite obvious he already thinks that, otherwise he wouldn't be here in the first place. I think he just meant they could really explore her potential with that option.
