Mass Effect: Reflections Part 9

• RECOIL in horror at a sudden attack by hidden enemies!

• LIVE the utter terror experienced by Commander Shepard!

• WONDER what the next chapter could POSSIBLY be about!

• BE SAD that my bullet lists are almost done... for now!

And now, an author's note. I've been pretty extreme in this story with how much I've broken Miranda emotionally. Don't worry, I'm not turning her into an emo codependant wreck! This is a side of her that no one save Shepard will ever see.

I've been playing my second maleShep. Approaching the end now, only the crew abduction and the final mission remain. Not much new in the way of screenshots, it's all been done before. Maybe with the exception of this:



This is not edited in any way, straight out of the game. I don't even remember exactly when I made it. But I like Miranda's face in this one.

And with this I'll sign off for the night. Pfft. Too much work and too little time to hang out here these days...comes when you get a new boss at work.

@Jedi: Nice work, but there is one thing that doesn't follow the timeline. The first time the Alliance encountered thresher maws was on Akuze, so it would be impossible for Shepard to know what they were when they hit.

Yes, thanks to Vyn for that. It does up the tension a bit I think, but I had to lose my funny krogan line.

So, I've thought of this once or twice and wondered what your guys' thoughts are.



I know for my Shepard, he has a close relationship with Garrus, Wrex, Thane and Legion. They're like his "homeboys" for lack of a better term. And Tali and Liara are like his little sisters.



However, I'm having a hard time picturing Miranda developing a close friendship with anyone other than Jacob. I could see it for Garrus, mostly because she helped rescue him and he's my Shep's best friend. And I could see her and Samara getting along and discussing things, maybe even sparring, but I just don't see Samara as having a close relationship with anyone.



So I was just wondering who you thought Miranda might grow close with? It doesn't even have to be a crewmate. It could be a NPC. I'm just curious what everyone's thoughts are.

Off Topic, has anyone played FF13 yet? I don't wanna go buy it if its only average...so I need some opinions please. I doubt anything can compare to how awesome ME2 was, but I would still like to know.

That's a good question, Meg. As far as the crew goes... I think only Garrus is a likely candidate, simply because of the level of trust Shep has with him. I think that'd make her a little more inclined to befriend Garrus. I don't see her and Wrex getting along very well, lol. Legion is awesome, but again, I can't see her getting close to him. Thane, maybe, but I think she'd have a problem with his spiritual side.

In short: Garrus, because he's awesome.
