If she would have any close friendships with anyone, I think it would take a very long time for them to develop. One of the reasons I think that she opened up so quickly to Shepard was because she was very familiar with him - having spent the last two years studying him completely. I think it would be harder for her to get that close to someone quickly - though the fact that they each needed to have explicable trust with one another during the suicide mission could make up for it.

I'm not exactly sure who would be the best candidate, to be honest. Chakwas and Giana would be the strongest, obviously - since they're both strong woman, though I think the friendship wouldn't go too deep.

I think someone who had a troubled past, who understood what it was like to be in extremely high pressure situations constantly, has a relatively high intelligence, and who isn't afraid to speak their mind just because they are speaking to her;

So I think Liara would probably be the best best, considering how much she's changed and the fact that the two worked together briefly to retrieve Shepard's body. She would reconigze and respect the lengths that she went to retrieve the body from the Shadow Broker. She's also a fountain of information now, which Miranda would see as a very valuable asset for whatever goal she is trying to achieve.

I don't know - if she would have any friendships, it would only be ones that could help her achieve certain ends, I don't think she could have a personal friendship with someone until she explicitly trusts them. Hell, I'm not even sure if you'd consider her and Jacob friends anymore. She kept a promise - which is a sign of it, but doesn't exactly mean they are.

My opinion.

That would be great! A lot of people seem to want the crew members to walk around the Normandy so hopefully BioWare will listen and make it happen in ME3, hopefully leading to the kinds of interaction you mention.

Am I the only one that leaves most of the side missions untill AFTER the Suicide Mission? It helps me keep up a frantic pace of building the team and getting them loyal then going after the bastards abducting Humans. Makes the mission seem more important and believable. I also NEVER activate Legion untill after the last mission. I just think it would be dumb of Shepard to try and do so not knowing how the Geth would react. I think it makes more sense to do so after the mission when things are relatively calmer.

It depends on how I'm playing. If I'm roleplaying it, then I'll make decisions that would make sense in real life. That usually means saving the side missions until later and focusing on recruiting team members. I was actually more apprehensive about waking up Grunt than I was about activating Legion. Maybe it's because I had no reason to trust Grunt. He was bred to be the perfect krogan and krogan tend to be extraordinarily violent .They have the "shoot first and ask questions later" mentality. Whereas Legion risked his life to help you. His intentions may be unknown and the geth have been a thorn in Shepard's side for years, but there are still a lot of questions I have about the geth. Just my point of view though.

I can see her (once Shep has gotten her to loosen up a little) getting to be friends with Garrus for certain and Wrex. Garrus because she's worked with him and she knows Shep trusts him and Wrex because both can be very pragmatic and Wrex certainly trusts and is trusted by Shep. Certainly as far as Shep is concerned, when he marries Miranda, Wrex is going to be his best Krogan, with Garrus as the other main member of the groom's party. Grunt will get dragged into service as the usher. (Would you argue with a krogan usher?)

Vamp and MA have raised valid points about Dr Chakwas and Gianna Parasini, as Dr Chakwas could show Miranda a side of Shep she hasn't seen, and Gianna for the common ground they have.

Mordin is also a possibility, considering how almost jealous of his time in the STG she is - again, there's potential common ground, as with Gianna.

Really can't see her being friends with Tali, although Liara is possible once she's finished her stint as information broker, and she's grown up a bit, as she has the potential to be an independant, strong willed woman.

I would love it as well, but since it isn't a linear progression for character development I just don't see it for a few years yet.  I would really love it though.

A lot of people would like to see those kind of interactions in ME3.

Although, in KOTOR 2, the R2-D2 like robot did roam around the ship. That was pretty cool. Even something as little as that would be nice, imo.

Well, I'd say people begged me to come back - but mainly it was I felt bad. This thread was one of the reasons why we started working together on our fanfiction - it'd be wrong of me to leave them out on updates.

I've been trying to catch up on what I had missed the past two days.  And I have edged back into Chapter 5 finally.  I did not want to touch it yesterday since my mood would have bled through.

I forgot about the wandering robot.  I see no problem with having characters walk around a bit.  Or at least be seeing in the mess from time to time.  There is really no excuse to keep them holed up in the same spot the entire game.

... nah.  It was clear.  You said added perk, which means it is a benefit.  I think I like being told it's good to be around me more than being complimented for my writing.  I can only write so much, but I'm always me.
