Gianna Parasini.
I can see her come to trust some of the crew members. Garrus comes to mind. But when it comes to the kind of person you can really relax and laugh with, share your thoughts, talk about problems with the relationships while drinking some coffee or beer, be silly or serious together as you like, all based on mutual respect as well as sympathy, then Gianna is the first who comes to mind. And after her, nothing for some time.

Um, okay. I didn't want to barge into the conversation, but if Miss Lawson insists...
I wonder if she's any good at cooking?

''But baby, baby I run, but I'm running to you
You won't see me cry, I'm hiding inside
My heart is in pain but I'm smiling for you''
I doubt she knows any cooking. She probably has had chefs cooking her meals, since day one of her life. Brilliant picture though!

I'm not sure why that dynamic appeals to me, but there it is.

I don't think she is. No particular reason other than it amuses me. Shepard learns very quickly to fix his own dinner. I've noticed that in my imagined future for them, I invert traditional male/female roles. Shepard has a job providing training to potential Spectres, and Miranda is an intelligence agent for the Alliance. He's the primary caretaker for their child while she is frequently gone on missions. He's the one who waits for her.

Yeah, I figure she's probably pretty lousy at cooking. I doubt her million dollar education included culinary training.

No they are born and their lack of courage, skill and resolve are compensated with training.

No need for violence, Miss Lawson.
You only have to say what you want.
You say jump, I ask how high.
Just not to my death. <_<
As for cooking, with her superior physique and coordination, she must be pretty badass with knives. I'd imagine she'd cook some mean sushi and sashimi.
hmmmmm............ otoro rolled up in salmon............ damn, now I have to go to lunch...............

Garrus does say he was targeted as a potential Spectre and could have received special training "along with 1000 other turian recruits"
Yeah and I think at some point in ME1 he also says that he'll apply for Spectre status after his duty with Shepard is done. Or so I read from Wiki.
''Eventually Garrus thanks Shepard for bringing him aboard the Normandy and letting him be part of the team. He's learned a lot and he doesn't want to let those lessons go to waste. Depending on what Shepard has said to him and the commander's behavior throughout the mission, Garrus states that he is going to reapply for Spectre candidacy, with or without reapplying for C-Sec in the process.''
Could be wrong, but *shrugs*

I used to do that - inverting roles for fictional characters - just for the fun of needling conservatives. In this case, I agree with your estimation of Miranda's cooking abilities, and I find the imagine of Shepard as more settled than Miranda interesting. I have a hard time seeing Shepard deal with a small child, though - probably because I really don't like it in RL. Instead, I imagine social structures will have softened up a bit so that no exclusive caretaking is necessary.jtav wrote...

Its likely the training is similar to special forces training we have now. The training would be designed to wash out as many as possible so only the best filter through for candidacy.jtav wrote...

In my case it was right timing.
Have been a bit busy and haven't had much time to either play (3rd playthough, insanity) or visit the forum.
And the picture you chose certainly helped.
I really need to buy a damned smartphone but can't make up my mind which one. This thread just cemented that already existing thought in my mind.
