During which endgame? Does she also resign if you keep the base? I didn't have her in my squad in that playthrough, and I'm not quite there in my current one.jtav wrote...
For a reason that I don't remember, I initially thought there would be two loyalty missions per each squad member. So, if you could design a second loyalty mission for Miranda, what would it be about? I'd like her forced to confront some Cerberus atrocity she had an incidental hand in, something that forces her to grapple with the organization's dark side and smooth the way for her actions during the endgame.
As for another loyalty mission, I think it would be interesting to expand on Jack's loyalty mission. When taking Miranda with you, she is quite horrified at what happened, but still her belief in Cerberus (and ours, if we want) is supported by the facts you discover - it seems to have been a rogue cell after all. Discovering that this "discovery" was an elaborate setup to fool Shepard and Miranda, that would be interesting. Or something like it.

Personally, I'd rather see one where she is presented the hard facts on some Cerberus mission that tortured humans and aliens for no apparent reason other than to test how far a species can be pushed psychologically before breaking. Something that would cause her to break down and realize that all her work, trust, and loyalty to Cerberus was, all in all, misplaced.

I think a lot of people might go with the idea of dealing with her father as a possible "second" loyalty mission - seeing as, well, we all want to see who he is and why he does what he does.

The question is: was it really misplaced? Most seem to think so, but I'm not so sure. After all, TIM seems to be right in one thing: nobody else seems to do anything for the human colonies. I think one of the most interesting things is that there really is come ambiguity about Cerberus, that there seem to be some things they really do right and some where they go off to where no sane human would want to follow. I would not like it if that ambiguity was completely lost.Rathias0114 wrote...

I will be surprised if we ever see anything of that plot really besides maybe having it mentioned once.
If we actually do get a big Orianna/Miranda's Father type thing I will be overjoyed but I seriously doubt that many resources are going to be further committed to this story with everything else going on.

I do not see why this is necessary or develops the character. At this point she already has become disillusioned even if you decide to keep the base. So now she is going to become more disillusioned?

Because the focus on ME2 was on your squad and gaining their loyalty for the suicide mission. I don't think they will do that again in ME3 and it will be structured differently.
I mean think about it, the guy who killed off most of his squad in ME3 would be missing out on dozens of missions and most of the game? Unlikely.
I mean, don't get me wrong, I would like for it to continue with lots of squad member developement and personal plots but I think the series is going to go in another direction for several reasons.
Now if they do do as rumored and have bridging x-pacs for each squad member...well now we could see something of interest with Miranda and that plot happening there.

I think that has been communicated very effectively in ME1 and ME2 plots put together.
Now the novels paint Cerberus as Stalin and Hitler put together but that is something else entirely.

**in deep dark gravely voice**
I have come and you will fall to your knees in reverence to me
You will beg for mercy as you are tormented for my amusement
and in the end I will grant you the peace….
….. in death
**continuous evil laughter**

**shakes head**
**speaks in normal voice**
Um…
**looks around confused**
where did I go just now?

There had been one non-me post in the previous 40 minutes.
Sorry I will have to adjust with this thread not moving along at the usual clip.

Yes, things are moving more slowly. But that's no indication that there are fewer Miranda fans - it's only that our "Character fan fanaticism index" (1.19, calculated as total thread pages per group member, over all existing threads for the same character) is about half that of the Kaidan and Tali fans (~2.3). I consider that a good thing.
