Maybe "It's worth it"?

Tali has a similar line to that, doesn't she?

*Shepard turns to Miranda* 'It's worth it?'

*Tali suddenly jumps in* 'Oh it is Shepard!  It is!'

*Shepard* 'I was talking to Mi...oh wow this is awkward.'

Why do I suddenly feel quite a lot less bad with Tali having just died in my game....?

Edit: oops, a new page again. We're moving faster.

@Jedi: That's a good point. I suppose it would be different for different Shepards whereas the other one is more general.

Eventually.  I'm too busy with the current fic, another board fic, and my novel.

Yeah best to stick with three projects at a time.

Does it help with writers block when if you get stumped on one thing you can just switch to working on something else?

Maybe something as simple as "Promise?" "Promise." Not sure how that would work if you went "no promises" though, that's why I suggested the other form.

I like that even better.

@Kabraxal:
You promised a story involving chocolate and Miranda? You know the next question - we're gamers after all: when will it be out?

Immensely.  I am almost writing since I switch when I hit a wall.

If I hit a wall on the current Miri fic (more than two weeks with little progress) then I'll switch to the one off.

I love the "Promise?" and "it's worth it" ideas. Can I steal them for later, Jedi?

Sounds good, but don't put yourself under pressure, I'd hate for you to feel like you need to rush one story out before you've finished another.

I'm having a hard enough time just trying to start mine. I have the story pretty much mapped out in my head but I sat in front of my PC for 3 hours this afternoon and I just didn't seem to be able to put my thoughts into words, if you know what I mean? I was a very angry Englishman!

I think I've hit "the wall" before I've even started. Image IPB

I need to get my story back on track too Andy.  Once I'm home from work tomorrow we'll have a brainstorm and see if we can get each other's story moving.  Deal?

That's my big issue too... I have everything mapped out and a fairly good picture of the entire fic up to a certain point after ME2 for the moment.  It is just translating that to paper that cuases the hiccups.

I've hit a wall too, over a stupid but necessary scene. I want to hurry up and get to the part where they're yelling at each other and having nervous breakdowns

Back from classes everybody. Lost where the last page was before I left, so I didn't get too caught up :(
So I have to ask what is the current popular discussion about and how has everyone's day been?

Awesome.  I am at work thinking about Miranda...oh and my program I have to work on tonight in Binary.

Stupid Binary.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. It's good to hear that the seasoned veterans have these issues too, lol.

What? Without a footnote saying "This phrase is the intellectual property of Jediknight120"? Where's the entrepreneurial spirit these days? :P

At Concarolinas (which reminds me, order tickets....) the author panel there said much the same thing.  Except most of them advised arbitrarily killing a character to kickstart the story again.  I don't agree with that sentiment myself.  I do not "write" the story, the story simply uses me to write itself.  So I don't choose to kill characters.  Actually... for one of my stories (non fanfic) a character ends up dying and I don't want her to!

Hey Shin. So you got the game in the end? Hopefully me not confirming certain rumours added some suspense to your game, lol.

Excellent story+storytelling.

It was a very immersive game. Much like ME1 and 2, I felt for the characters in Heavy Rain. If you go into the game not knowing what to expect, you're in for a ride.

It was like watching a suspense thriller film, but you're actually taking part in it.

Yea, finally got it. To be honest, I probably would've enjoyed the twist much, much more if I wasn't exposed to the damn spoiler. Ugh. I was half expecting it, so when that part in the game came up, I was just "meh".
