I know this is OT but what do you guys think of Metro 2033? It's been intriguing me for awhile and having just seen that Xbox World 360 gave it a 90 I'm really looking forward to it.

I share the obsession. It's a very good thing they didn't go through with a blonde Miranda.

As for Yvonne, sure she looks great, but I usually prefer the "dark and mysterious" aura over the goodness and light. In Yvonne, I'm more attracted to her graceful movements - you can see she's athletic. But compared with Miranda - imagine her as the Mata Hari type in appropriate clothing - she pales. Even the mental image is enough to affect my thinking processes...

Miranda is precisely my "type": smart, strong, curvy, pale skinned, and a brunette.  She is disturbingly similar to every woman I have ever fallen for.

Yvonne is just very different but I still find her very appealing in her own right...enchanting even...but I never would have paid any attention to her at all if it were not for Miranda and this game.  At first glance she was just another skinny blonde and didn't catch my eye.

There was something really special about winning Wizardry 8 a couple years ago.  Wizardry: Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord was the first game I ever played.

I really enjoyed it when I played it. I imagine it would feel very dated now though. Hated the second one though, I couldn't get to grips with the new melee controls.

Well Mel actually spoilers for Episode 10 have been fewer and farther between.  The spoiler I was talking about was for a later episode.

I will send you what I got for Episode 10 though.  If you want the other spoiler let me know.

Oh and yeah a new heavy weapon is all we got for DLC.  Boring but we have a new quest and NPC incoming soon.  Nothing Miranda centered unfortunately.

The problem is I find most horrors (games and movies) boring and predictable
Yeah they might get the odd cheap scare when something jumps out at you but they rarely make me feel fearful even when in the dark

Greatest moments? Too many to choose from at the moment. The biggest choke ever is fairly easy though.

Counter-Strike Source LAN tournament in Sydney. We barely scraped through the roundrobin matches and only got into the finals by having more roundwins than anyone else. The finals was a best of three maps against the undefeated team of the tournament. Map consists of 15 rounds on both teams with a switch at half time and first to 16 wins the map.

First map: de_dust2 - 16-14 win.
We defeated the undefeated team and showed them they had a fight on their hands.

Second map: de_train - 13-16 loss.
They rallied on the next map and managed to just beat us on our worst map (we'd already lost fairly heavily on this map earlier in the day to a weaker team).

Third map: de_season. The deciding map.
We had already faced this team on this specific map during the round robin and we had lost 13-16 (7-8 & 6-8). So we knew what we were up against. The first half was absolutely brilliant and we rocketed to a first half lead of 13-2. We had them shell shocked and we definitely knew it... but it was about to turn. The second half started out fairly OK and we were on the verge of victory after four rounds (15-4). Then we lost the next round by the barest of margins. And then the next one... and suddenly we were losing rounds consistently but only by the barest of margins. For example: I tried to knife a guy while he was reloading and just managed to clip the wall I was running past and missed him, and he shot me back... yes yes I should've reloaded but I was already empty with an easy knife kill. The display of sheer ... I don't know.. magic was unbelievable. The managed to win 11 rounds in a row to tie the match at 15-15.

Now it was time for overtime; a 6 round match with a teamswitch after 3 rounds... first to 4 wins overtime and thus the map and thus the match. We were struggling to find an answer for the oppositions form. They continued thier dominance and won the first round. The second round we finally managed to get one back and stop thier run of 12 successive round victories. The third round we lost again and thus it was time for the teams to switch sides. Again they won another round and they were on the verge of victory. We absolutely required victory in the next two rounds to force a second overtime. We won one round and then we entered the final round. This round was so tense. Each player was having 1vs1 battles over the map. The 3 minute timelimit for each round brought more pressure as each second went by. Eventually each team had only one player left alive and only 15 seconds left. My team's player rushed the lonely bombsite, managed to plant the bomb and then was sniped by the enemy via a fluke shot through a door and a crate. He sniped him in the head and easily defused the bomb. We had lost overtime 4-2.

tl;dr version. Yes... we had managed to go from 15-4 in a best of 16 game in the final map of a 3 map series, and lose 17-19 in overtime. Biggest choke ever. They had a run of 15-2 to win over us. Ugh... this match was practically 3 years ago to the day and it still annoys me.
