@Kab: After all of that work, it's no wonder. Just take the rest of the night off from it, if you need to. Or at least a couple of hours.

Okay, I've officially been working on this fanfic too long. I just reread this comment and pictured it as dialogue for one of my characters and started editing it as such. Maybe I should get to bed soon...

Take your own advice then, eh?  Image IPB

I might take it off.  I have FFXIII to play or my new DA run for royalty.  And goodnight if you do go to bed.

Ha. I will when we hit 750. Have fun with your games!

Definetely will.  Thinking about getting some clothin mods for DA.

Woohoo!!! Today I was lucky, got here just in time for 750.

Congrats on 3/4 of a thousand, everyone. :D

Since I'm on my ipod, I unfortunately can't quote Meg's wonderful gif.

Geh...we're already there. Total page count is 1066. But OK, we don't get to see the magic number for some time yet.

I was talking to Darth about this the other day, we didn't have a celebration when we hit 1000 total pages! I can't believe we all forgot. Image IPB

Lol. I don't know what to think of the fact that on your free time, in private discussion, the two of you talk about how many pages the Miranda thread has.

I'll have to do something to get anything in between the Chuck-a-thon we can expect for later this day.
For something more meaningful, I'm about to post some statistics gathered from XX55XX's character poll a few weeks ago. Read the new thread in an hour or so at the latest.

You seem very pent up about polls at the moment ield....why is that....there are completly meaningless, all of them, and most are just a bit of fun. Not like its actually possible (unless Bioware decide to do it online somehow) to get an accurate reflection of peoples opinions.

And grats on 750 everyone, and NO chuck spoilers (though I thought chuck talk had been banned(?) as some of us can't watch it till tomorrow/later in week :)

Pent up? How did you get that impression? I'll certainly lose not a minute of sleep over all that....

We can debate the meaning(less/ful)ness of certain polls, but I say while the opinion of forum users may not be representative for the whole, forum users are multipliers, which means their opinions have a bigger impact than those of the silent majority.

forum posters account for perhaps 2% of your audience... and a very biased one at that (same for every official forum site). BW knows not to listen to everything.

besides the advantage of miranda is that she was set-up to be the "default" romance for shepard, and with a likeness/named star as her voice she's got a great chance of coming back through dlc and #3.

Yes, not to everything - but apparently they listened to things posted on the forums like "ME2 is not an RPG" and "planet scanning is boring" - there was report about it on IGN IIRC. And they have stickied the ME3 wishlist thread. So why shouldn't they listen to character preferences? Sure they won't let popularity rule their story and characters completely - that would be stupid - but I don't doubt we won't see much of Jacob again....

I recognize her advantages. I didn't post the poll results for her benefit, since it's pretty much established she's second in female LI popularity after Tali.
But apart from that, we Miranda fans do not only want her to come back, we want her to come back BIG! And for that, every little bit may count.

Ok maybe pent up was the wrong word, but over the last few days you seem to have a bee in your bonnet regarding polls and accurate information....was wondering why is all :)

a lot of the reviews brought those points up - especially the planet-scanning. i mean, most people hate the ammo system, and did when they announced it - yet they still put it in (and someone thought planet-scanning was enjoyable). they'll do what they did with me1 - me2, take some of the threads, see what points they like and put them in, plus their own ideas. we might get some more traditional "rpg-alike" elements because some people felt me2 was too stripped-down, hell maybe they'll get rid of the ammo system, too, but i don't think fan-influence is anything like on the scale of what even professional reviewers say, and i don't think they are all that important with me2 getting a 96% average...

tali was thrown into me2 as a love interest, as was garrus, for that subsect of the audience that clamoured for it, but they aren't set up as the default romance like miranda is. the only problem i see is reconciling all the squaddies from the suicide mission.
