Ok, so I know everyone is worried that the squadmates in ME2 may not appear in ME3, namely Miranda. Thankfully, Casey Hudson gives us some info.
Question: Certain party members from the first game can be recruited in ME2. Does that mean that we'll see characters from this game make a return in ME3?
Casey: You will definitely be able to see characters from ME2 in ME3, as long as they're alive in the end of your story. It's a challenge for sure, but it's also going to be a huge payoff for players of the ME trilogy to see what happens with all these characters and storylines started by the first two games.
Hmm, that's good news....better not mean just a cameo though. That could possibly be what he means...hopefully not. I like how he says it's a challenge. Lol...no it really isn't Casey :innocent::innocent:

Definitely good to know, not an outright confirmation of them being recruitable but then again it would be silly to hope for squadmate info so soon. Great info nonetheless Vyn, thanks for bringing it to our attention!

Can you imagine the amount of planning alone goes into programming all of the different variables for squadmates alone? I'd say that's more than a challenge.shinobi602 wrote...

That's good news though. I highly doubt he'd make a comment like that if characters from ME2 with so many fans (Miranda, for one) were just going to be cameos. It also wouldn't be nearly as much of a challenge if they were just going to be cameos. At least that's my thoughts on it.

Pretty sure he means it's a challenge to keep all your squadmates alive at the end of ME2 lol...

Actually it would be. If you bring in a character from ME2 that could die, than giving that character a major role in ME3 would be very hard due to the fact that ME2 players who had that character die would miss some major plot moments. Im thinking they will have replacment (new) characters for those who have fallen ME2 squad members.shinobi602 wrote...

Also, for those of you who HATED the planet scanning minigame (like me) Casey answered a question about it too.
"We've had lots of feedback on the orbital minigame, and a frequent comment is that it's 'strangely addictive'. We keep an eye on player suggestions for tuning however, so it's certainly a possibility that we could include adjustments to the speed or balance in a future patch or title update."

"It's really the hardest challenge we have in the design of the Mass Effect games. We also see it as something that's non-optional. Mass Effect is a trilogy that centers on a single character and the concept of decisions and consequences. It wouldn't really be an interactive story if we didn't allow the consequences of one game to shape the next."

Oh hey guys, OT but if you play MW2 the new map pack (5 maps, 3 new, 2 CoD4) will cost $15, or 1200 MS points >
I suspect the rediculously high price for this map pack is due to Activision and it's recent date rape of Infinity Ward and former IW President Jason West and CEO Vince Zampella.
