Read it. Your Shepard is very convincing. Your Miranda, hmm, less so - even if you portray her as more emotional as I would have, she should have an easier time - as yet - distancing herself from them. But you knew I'd say something like that, didn't you.Kabraxal wrote...
Chapter 6 is really now up. For some reason the site didn't register my edit last time.

I'm assuming the same for the story I'm working on. Being 16 seems just right - being uncommonly gifted, she can have enough skills and determination to escape even from someone as influential as her father, while still being young enough that this experience will leave a deep imprint in her personality.MegWithAMouth wrote...
She never says that I'm aware of. I think we agreed as a group that it would make sense if she left around that time though. She would have the fortitude to stand up to her father and the knowledge to pull off her escape.Kabraxal wrote...

I should go.
Before you go... do you know if Miri was around 16 when she left her father?

This semi-legendary monster is described by experienced stalkers as a tall, hunched humanoid with a mess of tentacles instead of a mouth. According to these stalkers, the creature uses the tentacles to feed by clinging to the victim's throat, paralysing him and sucking him dry of blood, leaving only a dry, mummy-like shell in place of what was a living human only seconds earlier. The most astounding feature of the bloodsucker is its ability to become invisible.

I must disagree professionally (being a programmer myself). They won't be changing the main plotline to make up for dead teamredBadger14 wrote...
Interesting news from GI Vyndael, thanks. God BioWare is going to have a major challenge ahead. Over the past two years I took 2 Computer Programming classes (the second one a higher level than the first). It will be possible to remove certain squadmates who died in ME2 from ME3 and change the story drastically, but the amounts of programming will be insane.
members except if one is already planned as affecting the outcome (Miranda is a candidate I think). Instead, if necessary they'll add replacement NPCs who play roughly the same role as the dead team members only with less intricate interactions and less backstory. For instance, if Miranda - possibly a character with many and deep interactions - has died in ME2, we'll get a replacement more on Zaeed's level with almost no interactions outside of "his" missions. This will have two advantages: it will reward players who kept the ME2 characters alive by letting them have a more interesting character, and programming won't be much affected. With really good design, you'll just have to replace some pointers to dialog files. Testing all that will be hell I'm sure, but programming will not be what drives the costs. The replacement characters, their voice actors, the design of their scenes, their conversation paths, limited as they are, that will be expensive.
