They are very different in personality and outlook, yet also have some similarities (some details in the OP). in the end its your story, not everyone may like certain things, but in the end the question is do you like it? and im sure i speak for many people from what ive seen of your story i think it will be good, the shepard may be ooc to some and i find it hard to see him act that way, but then again its your shepard and the plus to him is he can act anyway the player or in this case the writer sees fit

Yes, I think Miranda resigning would be almost a prerequisite. As for poetry, I can't see Miranda liking romantic poetry much, but I don't know enough about that to make an educated guess.jtav wrote...

I think they'd initially be very hostile, but would quickly develop a respect for each other's competence. Then somebody mentions poetry, and they start having an argument over the relative merits of Browning and Tennyson. New best friends.
Seriously, I think they'd get along fine, especially if Miranda resigned. They are driven, hypercompetent women with something to prove and who love their sisters. I think they'd recognize that.

It's hard to say Shep is OOC unless he's doing something that completely contracts something explicitly stated in the game. In the end our Shep is an extension of ourself and each of us thinks of him a little differently.

*puts on English major hat* Browning and Tennyson are a bit later than the Romantics, though early Tennyson definitely shows some Romantic traits.
Didn't I say I don't know enough about that.. embarrassing, really, but you can't know everything. Anyway, this made me think about what kind of poetry Miranda might like, and I find it surprisingly hard to find anything even in my own language, which I know a little better. I can actually see Miranda liking romantic poetry since romantic works praise nature and the individual and also delve into the wonders of the mind and creative thought, with some romance on the side in some. William Wordsworth seems to suit Miranda pretty well in fact. What do you think jtav? What's your fellow English hat say?
