LOL.

Good signature. Eye-catching and using interesting colours.

BTW, as opposed to my 2-part sig, you could turn yours into a link to the group.

I suppose it is. Not sure how Yvonne's nerd colleagues thought about the game. Could bring up some weird moments or probably not, but Joshua and Zach have played ME1 at least, I am quite sure they bought ME2 especially when Yvonne is in it.

Well they probably have not had much time to play it yet but filming for Chuck season 3 wraps up tommorow.  They will get it then I am sure.

Both Adam and Yvonne sounded like they played the game before release.

What about Grunt and Tali? Man that would be like Ellie and Casey.

They never really tell us about Krogan and their body chemistry issues.  Since they can eat human food they are probably also toxic to Quarians.

Who said humans are toxic to quarians? More than anything else, that it?

Turians and Quarians have...different handed amino acids or something like that and it makes body fluids and food and so forth from other species nearly fatal to them and vice versa.  They mention this a few times in both games.  I believe if you romance Garrus or Tali that Mordin will warn you about it as well.

They are compatible with each other though.

Here's a Miranda pic that has not been posted too often, IIRC:

@Valmy:
Thanks. For a moment I thought there was something in the ME universe that should prevent human/quarian romance but doesn't. Wouldn't that be a topic to throw into the Tali thre?

Aww, I sometimes hate coming here. The quality is too great, makes me unhappy with my own graphics. :?

That is indeed really nice picture! :wizard:

Pretty sure all Talimancers know about this issue and don't care.  True love conquers all including the physical inability to have sex.

Lovely picture of Miranda Image IPB

I bet Yvonne's popularity grew ten-fold after Mass Effect 2 was released. Isnt it amazing what a video game appearance will do for your popularity?

Now we just need some more subjects lallalaa. I wonder, if any of the Chuck cast will be doing voice acting in the Old Republic as well. Just hope they don't redo most of the voices in big roles. Hearing Carth in few Bioware games in a row was bit weird for me. :D

I was thinking about ME earlier and I thought about a Miranda line that I don't think we've discussed, at least not deeply.

It's after Jacob's loyalty mission, when she talks about "always keeping her promises". I was just wondering if that could have a deeper meaning in the future, maybe regarding who she is really loyal to?

Maybe I'm reading too much into this but we're low on topics so I thought it was worth mentioning.

Considering Zach romances her in his day job I am pretty sure they can take the awkwardness Image IPB

I figured she said something about helping him out during ME:Galaxies or something and wanted to end any connection she had with Jacob going forward.

Not sure what you are getting at regarding the future and loyalty and so forth.  What are you thinking?

It is interesting how promises keep cropping up with Miranda and how seriously she takes them. I wouldn't be surprised if there's some conflict in ME3 between a promise she has made or will make to Shep or Oriana and the mission.

I am shocked you would immediately assume she will compromise the mission somehow Image IPB

Well, my main thought was, did she make a promise to TIM that we don't know about? I just heard that line and my first thought at the time was "that's gonna come back and bite me in the ass!" Could be a nice little piece of foreshadowing by BW? Not that I want Miranda to betray Shepard but I could imagine a scenario where she is conflicted about a promise she made to help TIM or something.

I think you are taking that line a little too inflexibly.  Miranda is not a Paladin bound by an eternal code of honor.  She made a promise of some sort to Jacob and was honoring that but I don't think she would have if it meant betraying somebody else to do it.  Likewise would she really quit Cerberus just to turn around and betray you...so therefore she will have successfully alienated everybody and left herself with no friends and just enemies to satisfy some sort of misguided sense of honor?

Man, lawful good always chafed me a bit as a Paladin. If I play a non-Paladin I'm always neutral good or chaotic good.

Good morning thead.

I think the whole promise thing was an attempt by Bioware to show us that Jacob and Miranda have a past, and as a result a complex relationship to this day. Obviously Jacob still cares for her(not romanitcally mind you) enough that he is willing to risk his life to make sure she's ok when you first wake up. She's just looking out for him as well.

It's really too bad that Bioware didn't go into this further with some NPC only banters and conversations, even in the cutscenes. Oh well.

For Jacob's sake it is best not to let that out in this thread. Image IPB
