Then he can shove that torch where the sun don't shine! *Ahem*

Let's do both! Throw him out the airlock then nuke him!

Side note, what does Jacob say when you pick the option to tell him you like Miranda? I forgot to do that last playthrough...

*rolls eyes* Boys...

More seriously, does Miranda strike anyone else a particularly stubborn? I'm doing revisions on my fic, and it's struck me that she could get a happy ending if she admitted she was wrong and apologized on behalf of Cerberus. But it seems more IC for her to decide not to, especially since she's dealing with doubts of her own.

She certainly can be.  Even when she admits Cerberus did wrong she excuses them.

What we do not know is if she is that way with everything or if she will continue to be that way about Cerberus in the future.

I think post-suicide mission it will be easier for her to admit she's wrong. I don't know if she'd apologize for Cerberus because she is distancing herself from them... and it's not going to be easy for her to admit she was wrong, but I can see her doing it.

Edit: this is from the perspective of someone who nuked the base and had Miranda resign.

Pre-Suicide mission Miranda, Jedi. Post-Suicide mission Muranda would probably be a bit more humble because she's learned she isn't as good at reading people as she thinks she is.

Oh in that case it'd take a really special situation. She nearly admits it to Shep during the Oriana mission when she says she should have trusted him... so she might.

It's a balance. I consider in in-character for her to be stubborn. But she's also very smart, which precludes the stupid level of stubbornness to a certain degree. In this case, it's more a matter of stubborn pride. I think she would admit her doubts much more easily - although an apology would have to wait for after careful examination of the facts - if her opposition wasn't so determined to mentally push her face into the dirt. Or so it might seem to her. If, or when, she apologizes, she will do it on her own terms.

It comes down to this: I can't see her apologizing as long as she's not sure of the facts. But, depending on the situation, she might admit her doubts instead of stubbornly insisting that Cerberus is right, or TIM wasn't involved, or anything similar.

I like all you guys so it would be sorta sad if the thread dies but...really...what more is there to say?

I can't believe you guys were talking like this while I was away earlier! Scandalous! Lol.

Really though, I think the thread will have to bounce between a place to talk about Miranda and a social area for all Miranda fans to discuss whatever they like (within reason), with the central theme still being Miranda of course.

For example, we talk about a new game being released and we may compare a certain character to Miranda, the same goes for movies or whatever.

I know some people might not like this but that's the way the thread will probably have to go in order to keep it alive. Let's just hope the mods don't close us down if it comes to that. Hopefully they won't as long as we don't break any rules and as I said, the central theme will still be Miranda, so we should be okay.

Morning folks! Feeling kinda "eh" from last night...lots of drinking and doing stuff I'll probably regret later heh! Oh, great news...my painting of Miranda and Shepard is done!!! I'm picking it up friday, its huge! I'll post pictures of it Friday afternoon, also I'm throwing this out to see if anyone is interested. If folks like it and want a print of it, I'm willing to get some made and mail them out to people.

I think that Shep says, I want to know what makes her tick...and Jacob gets all offended and acts like a ******. I never pick that option and I think I'm going to go ahead and get him killed this playthrough.

I thought that Jacob was a really cool guy, but something about him doesn't sit right with me. I do think that he still cares for Miranda so my plan is to have her do the biotic field during the suicide mission and have Jacob come along and get carried off by the collectors. That way its really Miranda's fault and I get rid of Jacob, plus I can comfort her if she is sad about it Image IPB

Well.. Garrus is more likable anyway.;) I didn't really know what to think of Jacob. He comes off overly ''nice'' and he seems like a butt licker at the beginning. Later he just seems... Weird. I am sure they could've risen any of the other crew members to his spot and I wouldn't have missed him. Like the one who tried to help Joker etc.

I'd add something to this if I could think of anything, but it seems your thoughts on this mirror my own Andy.

I'm screwed. My laptop died today, well the gpu did. But since it is soldered on the board, either I can find a new board or I'm going to have to get a new laptop.

It's at times like these that we see how dependent we've become of these devices. Most of my stuff is on it.

Crap.

@Andy: I agree with your view of this thread going forward. It will become more of a social hub for Miranda fans to talk about other things as well as our beloved Mistress.....er Goddess......er Perfect Woman TM (Miranda has trademarked the term :P ).

It's not like the other support threads exclusively have meaningful discussions of the characters they support.

My Shepard is confident enough about Miranda that he doesn't need such methods.:P

Edit:
My femSheps, however, are sorely tempted.

Well, I didn´t do it just for this reason.
There is a certain Gunnery Chief that will hopefully join the crew of the Normandy in ME3 and she needs a place in the armoury.
So even in my loyal to ash playthrough, Jacob got carried away by the collector swarm.
