@Kab: Yeah, one shining example of me just going with whatever came to me would have to be that last chapter. Initially we had "planned" (I use the term loosely) to tie it off nice and neat with a happy ending, but the closer we got to the end, the less it just didn't feel right and I ended up just branching out in a completely different direction and pretty much forcing Rath into it. Hell, I even had to force myself to write it, but I didn't feel like there was any other way to go.

@Meg: You're not the only one who has trouble writing. Sometimes, I can picture a scene clearly in my head as if I was watching a movie but then I blank out when I'm trying to write it. Very annoying.

I hate it and I love it. It depends on how happy I am with the end result, usually. Nothing is more dissatisfying than spending ages working on something only to be unhappy with it in the end.

I hate it and I love it. It depends on how happy I am with the end result, usually. Nothing is more dissatisfying than spending ages working on something only to be unhappy with it in the end.

I let that story sit then and come back some time later and reread it.  Usually, I will end up reworking it and suddenly the ending works.

No, cake good. Vyny can't eat solid food for awhile until healed. Surgeon took out 2 wisdom teeth
