And yeah you really shouldn't do that in NYC. Easy target. Not safe. Bad drivers galore in NYC. Comes with the annoying traffic.

checking out hotel prices in NYC..
They are MORE than double what I paid in SanFran for an amazing spot right near the convention center.
maybe i should just put my stuff in a shopping cart and push it around the street.. i will blend in and no one will bother me.

That's NYC for you. Rake in money with the tourists. Might also have to do something with 9/11. Bad idea to use a shopping cart. The weather here has been very weird lately.Nadia73 wrote...

the worst drivers are the cabs. that's who hit me... going 45mph behind me, trying to run a yellow light that was already red and slammed into me. still have to go to the chiropractor to this day because my neck was severely injured.
and know what i got out of that whole debacle, car totalled and everything? given BS by nasty NY cops and yelled at and what's left of my car taken away by THEIR choice of towing companies (called 'rotation of tow' at that time) and kicked to the curb by the BONDED taxi driver.
I saw NOTHING from that accident- don't EVER get into an accident in NYC-- you will walk away with nothing.
The guys in harlem were nicer to me than the damn cops or tow driver... they came running out to help us (carrying baseball bats of all things) and told us to hang out with them and we can use their phone and such (this was before cell phones existed- yes I'm old
I guess it was some sort of a 'halfway home' for drug addicts or something and they were very... free to say the least. we got quite a show actually when we were hanging in there.. naked men and such...
I've led the strangest life. and i love it

Yeah, always the cab drivers lol. That must have sucked but I'm tempted to ask after the no cellphones comment, when did this take place? Strangest life? That's an understatement.Nadia73 wrote...
