I'm still of the opinion that is wasn't his damn business and that he shouldn't have felt "betrayed". That and he should've excerised some brains. If he DID succeed in kidnapping Oriana, no Paragon dialogue or interupt in the galaxy could save him from Miranda. I personally would've shot the guy myself if Miranda didn't beat me to it.

I actually agree that it was not his damned business. So true. But people are people, and sometimes they meddle, and believe themselves to be right.

If you let her shoot the guy, she will feel really bad about it afterwards...
I rather see her smile ^_^

When I first played this scene I was really hoping for the option to shoot him myself. He clearly couldn't be trusted and I felt that Miranda shouldn't have to shoot him. Though now I know the outcomes of the paragon interrupt, I always end up choosing that instead.

I wonder who will voice Miri's father if he's in ME3...Shane Warne? Lol. (Don't think many of you guys in the US will get that, but Darth might...)

Seriously though, I wonder who would fit the part?

Shane Warne? :D

VA for Miri's father would depend on what age he is supposed to be. My first thought was John Noble however. He has the regal-like voice I would associate with someone of power and has a great 'evil' voice when required.

Fortunately, I've always managed to resolve their conflict without offending any of them. Mysteriously, I had 80% Paragon and 55% Renegade when I did it, but the Paragon option was greyed while the Renegade was usable. Go figure.

I always sided with Jack, and then followed with 'paragon make-up' option with Miranda. It made more sense, and I think it has better dialog.

In paragon option during the fight Shepard just goes in and spews some generic lines about unity and common goals. When siding with Jack and then later making peace with Miri, you can appeal to her best qualities - that she is, quite unlike Jack, reasonable and intelligent. It is way more personal.

I thought you couldn't romance Miranda if you side with Jack. You could use your Paragon to keep her loyalty, but romance is no longer an option.

*slaps forehead* Comment withdrawn. Things got mixed up in my head, but that would explain a great deal, thanks.
Straight female playing straight female here, so Miri's a friend, not a romantic option.

I am not sure if I posted it before in this thread, but I wasn't charmed by Miranda when she first was announced. But the way she is presented made me change my mind. One thing was her loyalty mission, which is in contrast of her personality. It made her a bit more human. In the end game I liked the way that she can choose your side. And I think she is great as a squad member. She's in my squad in most missions (except the very last one). Still, she is not my type as a LI. Too "plastic" for me. Not real if you know what I mean. As a matter of fact non of the ME2 romancable characters are interesting enough as a LI. She's great in any other respect, though. :)

I don't actually have a problem with the character of Tali.  I just have a problem with the Talimancers/Taliban.  The extremists have a tendency to drown out the rest and have helped me to write most of them off as a group.  Some of those people are just...fraking freaks.

Yeah agreed Darth, can perhaps understand that sort of 'obsession' with a real life person (thought thats still very unstable) but a virtual character is taking things to the extreme.

Sorry about that. When are you going to write that chocolatey/sexy fanfic you were talking about anyway?
