Daybreakers. Looked kinda cool. It's actually come and gone already where I'm at. I missed it. It's got Sam Neil too, who I tend to like, even though he's don'e some crap.

Don't think it even opened here yet. Oh well. I am not really a vampire movie buff.

To be honest, the writing as such seems more or less OK. I didn't say she's the worst offender because I think she can't write. It's the subject matter, the way it's treated, together with the huge popularity - which makes her not one, but three nails in the coffin of the vampire genre.

I also don't like the whole teen popularity thing, especially girls screaming and stuff. I do think that the story is a love story before it becomes a vampire story.

Anyway, I'm heading off, enjoy....

Not really a buff myself. But I can name my personal favorites: "Interview with the Vampire" (1994) and  Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992). Both are also romantic (which I think is completely appropriate for the genre), especially the latter, but in a very different way compared with stories like "Twilight".
