@Ieldra: I was being a little sarcastic about the "cool kids" thing, but the same point remains. It isn't cool to egg a house, it's immature and makes you look like an ass. Not to mention it pisses off the house owners and that repeated patterns of these eggings make it oh so easier to catch someone.

Well, if you explain her behaviour in a reasonable way it´s probably okay for the most readers.

As I said, I'd run out nobody who does have a point. In my eyes, it's a smaller point than you make it to be, but it still is one. I think Miranda is indeed capable of such things, regardless of whether or not she actually was involved in things like Akuze. But then, IMO everyone is capable of anything, it only depends on the circumstances.

But - there has to be a "but" - I have one big problem with the "wilfully blind": I think Miranda is also smart and able to see things from a distance. I very much doubt she'd stay wilfully blind for an extended period of time, given some evidence as to what's really going on. Faced with unpleasant truths, in the end she will try to find out what's really going on.

Edit:
One more thing: I can see Miranda being stubborn to the point of seeming stupid - to others. It's one thing to admit she might be wrong to herself, but quite another to admit it to others. The interesting question is: what would she say if asked, if she has such doubts? I doubt she'd continue to spout the party line, but what else is there? Maybe she'd just stay silent and run off.
