She might us protype or specialised implants given her status with Cerberus.

That means that, at a minimum, she suffered really horrible migraines for nearly twenty years. And the L2 implants were developed around the time she ran away. Wonder if dad decided she needed an upgrade?

Alenko wasnt willing to go back under the knife(if i remember his words right been awhile) and should have upgraded and no longer been a L2, if Miranda ever was a L2 i doubt she be like him and no willing or arfaid to go get a upgrade i bet that she want to be as up to date as possible and of course the Illusive Man would support that fully

I can see it going either way. The L3s have fewer side effects, but they're also less powerful. If Miranda's only suffering moderate side effects, I can see her choosing not to undergo surgery so her biotics will continue to ne of maximum usefulness. It depends on what she prioritizes.
