I'm going to look at L4D2 and GOW2 and purchase one of them. I have decide which would likely get some single player runs so it isn't totally online reliant.

I'd seriously suggest you get GOW2 then. There isn't really a single player in L4D as far as I know.

The problem... I borrowed it back at release and the story pissed me off.  If L4D just gives me some yucks with killing zombies, it may be the better purchase.

Right. They're in a bar on Elysium in 2176. I was going to have him attempting to pick her up, but now he'll be giving her grief about underage drinking. Then the batarians show up, she let's lose with her biotics and suffers a migraine, and he realizes she's an L2 and therefore not a teen.
