Ah, I read your story...as much as I didn't want to. Very well written.

I was more or less talking about the state of the forums in general. But, there does seem to be a sudden rise in the negative threads because that is mostly what I see on the front page.

Apparently, there's a glitch with the completionist achievement in some games and you can't get the ally achievements until you get that. It sounds like you're totally screwed.

Well it's been too long since I got it to remember the details but here is what it says on X360A:

By majority of the game, they mean an undefined
amount of the game. I recommend that you choose two characters and go
with them till the end. Try to not start a side quest without the
characters you want. There around 70 side quests including the main
quest ones. So, make sure you do around 60 of them before Ilos. IF you
haven't gotten the achievement after that, then you should try exploring
the galaxy and doing more quests. Remember to talk with allies in order
to generate more side quests. NOTE! Completing
the DLC makes a noticeable contribution toward this achievement. You
should be able to earn all of the ally achievements before you get to
Ilos if you complete the DLC. The following is a
list of missions in the game:
