How do you guys think Miranda deals with being sick or in pain, particularly if it was a long-term or chronic injury or illness? My first instinct was that she would try to ignore it until she collapsed, but I'm not sure, and I find myself wondering how she'd adapt to being semi-permanently "less than perfect."

part of me thinks she could be ok with it, as i her abit as she somewhat wants a normal life, the look she gives her sister when she watching her with her faimly, seems to be the look of she wishs she had that she just shes had a normal life (granted thats with alot of reading into it)

another part says all she knows is being "perfect" so she have some trouble dealing with it, but that also depend on if she got people she trusts. was she pushed to meet her sister? is she in a relationship with Shepard or falling for him? if you factor in these and that with them shes start to "get feelings" and open i dont think she push herself as much as she would if it was her at the start of the game

@Kab: Haha yeah Casey was awesome

From the preview of "versus the American Hero" it doesn't look to be what we expect it to be. But I'm not making assumptions yet!

What if it were something long term, like chronic pain or loss of a limb? IOW, a long-term, but not necessarily permanent, disability?

Pardon the brainstorming.

Badger, you're making me very sad for Chuck and I haven't even seen it yet.  :(

And 950 FTW! I'm saving the celebratory crump dance for 1000.

I love the Casey storyline, but then that is the true style of Chuck.  I detest the Chuck/Sarah arc right now.  It is just being a contrived tedious tease... not a legitimate dramatic arc.

Congrats on 950....

@jtav I think she would push herself to the limit of the injury, she's a strong person who believes impossible is nothing.

She would be testy and probably a bit frantic, but I think she would not only allow someone she loves, like a Shepard for most of us, to take care of her... I think she would secretly get the warm fuzzies and having that someone there for her.  She might even let him know eventually.

No problem, but if you smashed into a revolving door with enough force all the glass would break.... most revolving doors are glass are they not?

Hm. For loss of a limb, I could see her having a sort of breakdown. I imagine she would go to great lengths to try and restore what's she's lost, more for functionality's sake than cosmetic reasons. Though I think that would affect her on a superficial level as well. For chronic pain, I think she'd do somewhat the same thing and try to rid herself of the pain so she could be more efficient. She'd want to be rid of the pain obviously, though I think she'd be more frustrated by the fact that it impeded her abilities, assuming it did.

It has been a rough spot this year but it is almost over.  Still it was nice to see Chuck finally open his mouth.  It was more like old Chuck and Sarah tonight.

Partially.  But even though Casey made me Image IPB... I also cussed a few seconds later.  That moment would have been pure awesome if the Chuck/Sarah arc hadn't slightly tainted it.
