I haven't watched it yet. I recorded it while I was at class so I'll catch it in the morning. There were a lot of kill Shaw comments while it was airing though. I'm kind of scared to watch it now.andysilv87 wrote...
So, how was Chuck? I don't want spoilers obvously, just wondering what kind of experience I'm in for.

I'm feeling a little nervous about watching it too now. Why can't Shaw just GTFO! Seriously! <_<

Let's see. I think there's a level of trust between Miranda and Jacob that goes beyond the professional, if not as far as between Miranda and Shepard in an active romance. I also think Jacob has come to terms with not getting anywhere with Miranda - see his comment about her needing a better man - and he's likely to make light of it if he comments on it at all, which I have some difficulty imagining. IMO Miranda will answer that this is not his business, but not in a hostile way, she'll just reinforce the emotional distance in a friendly "let's keep this professional" kind of way, friendlier than in the "I 'm not looking for a friend" exchange with Shepard near the start of the game. If Miranda's going to share anything about her relationship with Shepard with anyone on the Normandy, it's likely with Samara, and very unlikely with Jacob.keegdarv1 wrote...

For the story I’m writing, I think I may want to do a talk between Jacob and Miranda before they head into the Collectors base nothing big since its before the mission. Would be something along the lines of Jacob seeing Miranda whispering in Shepard’s ear before they go down to the engine room and putting two and two together since I'm sure Mordin isn't in only one that knew of any crew relationships
Problem is I'm not 100% how a talk like that would go if I do it. Would Miranda see it as Jacob butting in to something not his business? As I’m in the club that Jacob had bigger feeling for Miranda then she had for him, would their be a bit jealous or regret with him or something? Or would it be just a friendly convo, him being happy for her?

I don't see Miranda sharing those feelings with anyone to be honest. Not just yet. She is only now able to admit to herself she loves him. I can't see her sharing that with a man she may or may not have slept with in the past. I don't think her relationship with Jacob is anywhere close to the level of trust she has with Shepard now. If you look at her face when she leans over you in the beginning cut scene, her expression is one of someone with far more than a doctor patient interest. She spent two years putting you back together and now she can express that love to you.
As secular as she has been... to talk to Jacob about her feelings for you is far out of character for her if you ask me.

There's still the question of whether she would share it with anyone at all. I consider it in-character that she doesn't.Jebel Krong wrote...
er, why would miranda share feeling with samara of all people again?
But if she does, then I'd say it's with Samara because she can respect her and Samara is unlikely to take advantage of her. Samara is the one person on the Normandy I can see Miranda develop a friendship with, particularly if Shepard makes her resign from Cerberus. Garrus is an alternative, but he's is too close to Shepard for sharing her feelings about him, and he's male.

i dont see it as a sharing feelings talk i would see it as more so just as a jacob talking about what hes seen.
mostly im looking for something to fill my need in writing that just isnt something thats not something the player and all ready just pop in and see, was thinking some kind of talk would help just wasnt sure if jacob was my guy to fill that
honestly as for miranda sharing her feeling with anyone not sure i could see that with anyone on the ship unless shes in a relationship with shepard, just want something to make miranda more "human" in a sense
but maybe its not a miranda talk to have with anyone maybe it needs to be a shepard talk with someone as more people would be willing to talk to him about well anything
*sighs* i wish i could explain whats in my head better maybe im just to tired to think right anymore, maybe i need to stoping trying to force big stuff and keep my focuse on small moments for now
thanks you both helped

Sorry... to be honest I don't see Jacob approaching Miranda and mentioning something of that nature. In a way I thinks he's afraid of her just a bit.
I understand what you are trying to do... I'm a writer as well. I suggest perhaps having Miranda approach Garrus or Tali, two people who have known him far longer, and perhaps try to get a feel for him in that sense. Jacob coming to her to comment on what he sees I don't really see happening.
Sorry.

whilst i could see miranda perhaps coming to see samara as a friend, samara's not really a "make friends" type of person - hell even as much as she respects shepard, she states she would be forced to try and kill him if she wasn't bound by her oath... i have no doubt she would also try and do the same to miranda...

I agree with that. In my earlier post I said what I think Jacob would likely do *if* he made some comment, but I think it's unlikely that he does.
I also don't think that Miranda would approach anyone about Shepard on her own. She's the type of person who makes things up with herself if she can. If it's touched upon by accident, or someone asks her, she *may* answer depending on who's asking and how, but she wouldn't volunteer information about her own feelings.

may have not been clear in my first statement but never say it as a Miranda going anyone about it saw it as someone bring it up to her and saw it more so as her blowing it off if i did it
