@Andy: Lol. We haven't even lived a quarter of our possible lifespans yet. I hardly think we can consider ourselves old.

Don't worry, there's at least one creepy guy around here older than you two... And why is everyone looking at me funny?

I've added the second conversation to the tree. Not sure how I'll handle multiple conversations so I've gone the easy route at the moment by just switching between them.

You should have been here earlier! I was so lost. Literally everyone but Odin changed their pic. It was madness! Madness I tell you!

Lies. I haven't changed mine.

Well, you weren't on during the chaos earlier otherwise I would have mentioned you with Odin.

Looks good, gutty. I'm sure many people will be grateful they don't have to go through the game themselves to get this dialogue.

Great work. I'm starting to feel like I don't need to play ME2 anymore, lol.

Edit:
Ah, you included one of my favourite quotes here too:

Shepard: Your spirit and personality are what make you great. It's what makes anyone great.

Miranda: That's kind of you... I'm not sure I believe you, but thanks for saying it.

Technically, I was always a lady.

But yes. My avatar is a lady once again. I just made a male DAO character because he was hot. *coughs* I mean... um... nevermind?

If it all goes to plan it needs to be linked in the OP, it's really great work so far.

Ha. You don't know how many RPG characters I had named "Mirande" (with an "e" for the mood it conveys in German) before I met Miranda in ME2. I broke the pattern in DAO because the name wouldn't fit the world. Like you as it seems, I prefer to play the opposite gender. That pattern I broke in ME2 for Miranda only.

As for the avatar changes - did I start a landslide when I changed mine yesterday or was is something else?

Possibly. As the author of 'The Miranda Manifest' your decisions carry a lot of weight you know.

Edit: I wonder if we'll hit 1000 pages today (UK time)...I'd hate to miss that party, but at the rate the thread usually goes I can see me missing it. :crying:

I have no idea what started it. Kab changed his yesterday. Flashy changed hers today because she got DAO. And Vyndael had been changing hers to her DAO character when she visited the DAO forums. After that, it's all a blur. Everyone seemed to change their avatar at once.

LOL. The weight to make people change their avatar pics. Truly impressive.

On a more serious note, I wonder if Bioware people read the OPs of the character threads. I think if even one does, it's all worth the effort.

Regarding the p1000 celebration, I fear I'll miss it - most posts usually arrive while I'm sleeping. BTW, I noticed the Tali thread is bound to reach post 100000 within the next 48 hours. Brace for a server crash caused by furious posting equivalent to a DDOS attack.

I'm sure they've taken a look. Even though some character obsessions can go OTT, they must be very pleased to know their characters can generate so much interest.

now everyone looks different, this is a confusing place to be.... oh, wait, the banners are still the same! *phew*

so - countdowns on the main page and firewalker is out - i couldn't bring myself to download it tbh - me2 was fine without any vehicle - it just doesn't suit the game in any way and most people's reactions seem to have been negative...

Ha, just ventured off briefly into the main forums, can't believe somebody has an "I Support Miranda's Ass" sig. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

cry, definitely cry (unless it was by some miracle an "ironic" signature).

Perhaps I should change my sig as well
Really, does anyone but me actually identify people by their names rather than the avatar pics or signatures? I suddenly feel old....

As for the Firewalker. Tried it. The HH itself is mostly fine (except for the crash landings), first two missions are forgettable. To speed over a ME1-style planet with the HH, that would be exciting. The absolute worst thing: no in-mission save. That severely discourages me from continuing.

Well, I obviously identify people by their names too but avatar pics do become rather synonymous with the poster, it helps you to identify people faster. Then when somebody changes theirs, it takes quite a while to adjust.

personally i rely on typical male visual pattern recognition, so yes images rather than names/words.
