Hudson has said one of *his* favourite characters is Jack. I haven't read the GI interview but I assume its a misinterpretation given player feedback on these forums.Karstedt wrote...

They *really* said that? Are you sure about that? I can't believe it... didn't they say the opposite in the recent IGN interview?Karstedt wrote...
I wouldn't be surprised if Bioware said that. They also said that most people founf the planet scanning strangely addictive. *gag* Pardon me, I think I just threw up a little.
There was a whole thread about it maybe a week ago HERE. Hudson supposedly said it in GI (Game Informer?).

@Andy: Lol. We haven't even lived a quarter of our possible lifespans yet. I hardly think we can consider ourselves old.
Don't worry, there's at least one creepy guy around here older than you two... And why is everyone looking at me funny?
Why are you all staring at me now?
Yeah... I meant him... quit lookin' at me.
Thanks Karstedt. Aren't you protesting a little too much?

So THAT'S what the couch scene is supposed to look like. Quite sweet, really. I don't see why so many people insist the relationship is necessarily "just a fling."
Because they know nothing about the character, they just take a look at her and project 'skank' and are done with it.

I attribute that to her genetic engineering. I don't think this trait is strong enough to support a history of abuse on its own. But YMMV, if you want to interpret it that way. I would prefer not to.jtav wrote...
Miranda also seems to exhibit a couple of traits common to those who were psychologically abused as children, especially low self-esteem She is supremely confident in her abilities, true, but doesn't view them as truly her. "The only thing I can take credit for is my mistakes." She seems to view herself largely as a tool. Her self-worth is bound up in how useful she is, not in any intrinsic quality.

I have two Queen songs on my iPod, and I don't think I'm THAT old...
Good morning thread. The Firewalker is pretty cool and Thane's shades are almost the best thing ever.

Both
Just giving you a hard time after you made fun of yourself earlier. The rest of you guys can put down your Queen fanboi pitchforks.

You might have wanted to put an emoticon in then... the internet doesn't do well at conveying tone of voice unless it's by audio.
Anyway, growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional!

Ieldra: You certainly don't have to read her that way. It just helps me make sense of some aspects of her character. I also read Liara as borderline mentally ill, so it's not just Miranda.

When love breaks up
When the dawn light wakes up
A new life is born - oooooh
Somehow I have to make this final breakthru . . . now!
(Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha)
I wake up
Feel just fine
Your face
Fills my mind
I get religion quick
'Cos you're looking divine
Honey you're touching something, you're touchin' me
I'm under your thumb, under your spell, can't you see ?
If I could only reach you
If I could make you smile
If I could only reach you
That would really be a breakthru
Oh yeah
Breakthru, these barriers of pain
Breakthru, yeah, to the sunshine from the rain
Make my feelings known towards you
Turn my heart inside and out for you now
Somehow I have to make this final breakthru
Now! (now now now)
Oh yeah
(Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha)
Your smile
Speaks books to me
I break up
With each and every one of your looks at me
Honey you're starting something deep inside (of me)
Honey you're sparking something, this fire in me
I'm outta control, I wanna rush headlong into this ecstasy
If I could only reach you
If I could make you smile
If I could only reach you - ooh ooh ooh ooh
That would really be a breakthru
If I could only reach you
If I could make you smile
If I could only reach you
That would really be a breakthru
Oh yeah
Breakthru, breakthru
Break, hey
If I could only reach you
If I could make you smile
If I could only reach you (ooh ooh ooh ooh)
That would really be a breakthru
If I could only reach you
If I could make you smile
If I could only reach you
That would really be a breakthru
(Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha)
Breakthru

Ick. I hope he does not overhaul the story to give jack more time. Miranda is way WAY WAY WAY cooler. I am really starting to like her.
