Hey, guys, remember when Chris Priestly said that there are no lesbian romances in ME2 because, technically, the Asari aren't female, and therefore Liara doesn't count?

Us folks over in the Samara thread just noticed that the Bioware website lists both Liara and Samara as "Female".

PRIESTLYYYYYYY!

He doesn't call himself Evil Chris Priestly for no reason.

I believe that Chris is a moderator yes?  He would know the finer details better than the fandom why?  The fact that ME1 and ME2 are absent lesbian romance just means its a good time to start for ME3.  Though, I too consider Asari as a race of all women... as far as the preggo thing and multiple children, I would caution against saying what BioWare writers can, or cannot, do.  Their fundamental xenological FUBAR otherwise called Quarian technobable, is an example of why its a better idea for them to stick with what their good at... that is staaaying waaayyy aaawwwaaayyy from further Xenology.  I say it would be awesome to have two Asari squids who are twins in ME3

I wasn't saying what they can or cannot do, I was purely speculating. In the end it's them who decide what's really going to fly and what's not. I think Jayla would have a better understanding than the rest of us though, Jayla gets it better than the rest of us.

Considering their lifespan, I wonder how long an asari pregnancy lasts...

Really?  I'm taking this as a massive compliment, and TYVM.  But it might just be my last biology class a while ago being remembered and subject to some good imagination, that lets me 'get' it.

Oh, and by the way, I could swear it was Casey, not Chris, who called Liara 'asexual', when truthfully she's 'of a mono-gendered species'.  Asexuals don't have sex, whereas to mono-gendered races homosexuality and heterosexuality are meaningless terms but they do have sex.

Agreed, Jayla. If the asari were asexual, they would reproduce by literally "splitting" themselves, or an asari child would begin to "bud" somewhere on the body of the adult.

Good morning Baal!

Yeah, awesome that we've reached 1000 pages.

Looks like we're going to get some more DLC news next week, according to Mr Gamble. Again, I'm not holding my breathe. He said it would be larger than an item pack, but it could turn out to be anything. http://social.biowar...6849/23#2509427

Everything's alright I suppose. Project at work is doing really well, I got finals at evening school in 2 weeks, but I'd need an F to fail, so I should be fine there, too *lol*

Other than that, just showing my love Liara as much as I can (at work atm) xD

You?

Well, since several others have done something nice to commemorate 1,000 pages, here goes my effort:

Illium at night.

Kiria Shepard couldn't help but smile at how the planet reminded her of a fictional place called "Coruscant", the city-world that was the capital of the known galaxy within her favorite works of old Earth literature. Though this planet wasn't entirely covered in skyscrapers, the view from the starport where the Normandy was docked certainly gave that impression. With the Collectors dealth with and Cerberus left choking on stardust, she felt light as a feather, for perhaps the first time since that awful business on Eden Prime.

Only one thing could make this feeling better.

The crew were scattered about Nos Astra, celebrating in their own fashion, leaving Kiria alone to pursue her own agenda. Walking at a brisk clip, she struck out for her old friend's office, not entirely surprised to see that a new face was sitting at the reception desk. The young salarian greeted Kiria with deference, nodding and shaking her hand as he ushered the Spectre into the office of Liara T'Soni.

"...and be sure to remind her that we're counting on that code key," Liara was saying to the hologram of a blue face-painted turian. "Without it, the data packet we intercepted will be useless!"

"Don't worry, Ms. T'Soni, she'll get it to you on time," the turian replied.

The hologram winked out, and Liara, her countenance looking haggard and worn, slumped at her desk, seemingly oblivious of the new arrival. Grinning, Shepard took out the datapad she'd been carrying and playfully tapped the asari on her crown. "Was this what you were looking for?"

"Ouch -- Kiria?! That hurt!"

"Oh, come on Liara," Kiria said with a smirk, " I know just how hard your head can be."

"But...what are you doing here?" Liara asked, confused. Then she looked at the datapad. "And how did you get this?"

Kiria, still grinning, took a seat on the other side of her love. "Well, I was just out taking a refreshing walk when I happened upon some Eclipse chasing down an asari in casual attire. The mercs never saw me coming. Your courier, not knowing who I was, figured she'd be better off disappearing, and asked if I could pass this along. When she mentioned who it was for, I couldn't resist the chance to see you again."

"I...see..." Liara said. She was still a bit nonplussed, but relief and gratefulness brightened her eyes and she finally smiled. "In any case, thank you. You don't know what this code-key, and the information it will unlock, means."

"I'd like to know, certainly," Kiria replied. "But that can wait. I'm here to take you out..."

Faster than Liara could react, Kiria Shepard whipped out her pistol, pulled the trigger, and BANG!

"Oh, ha ha, Kiria!" Liara exclaimed, shoving the novelty toy away from her face. "I should spank you for that, but I must ask: How in the cosmos did you find out it was my birthday?"

Kiria put the toy gun away, smiling her broadest yet. "It wasn't easy."

I liked it, GW! Any fanfic in which both Shepard and Liara are in a playful mood with each other I love. It's just so cute....I love it!
