Hello, my fellow Liara fans!

The thread title changed, so it's back to normal here, i take it? ^^

Did I miss anything important in the last 3 days? (besides some strange arguing here...)
Ok, appearently I missed the 1000th page.
6 pages too late but Liara is still happy:

That would have been terrible. I already knew the full extent of Liara's 'role' due to some spoilers released by those that got the game early, and I was still horribly disappointed with it when I played it.
I can't imagine how one who hoped Liara would be in the squad again would react to it!

I remember that I avoided the forums here as long as I finished my first ME2 playthrough, so I only knew that Liara  had a cameo but still i was kind of shocked in the first moment. Some days later i checked the forums and happily discovered that i wasn't the only one how was that disappointed.
But it's always impressive to see what an awesome fanbase our Liara has.

i like liara (the mass effect 1 liara, not the me2 cold blue thing), but as a character in the game, but some people are a bit obsessed with her. c`mon people, its just some pixels and some prerecorded text. just weird, these Miranda, tali, garrus etc. fan people just creep me out. weirdos....

It seemed to Shepard, that somehow Liara never left her office. Good. She would never find out that the idea - and the poem - were stolen from a Krogan.

A friend spoiled me that you can romance Tali but that you can not see her face and that there is no vehicle section. I was still playing ME 1 at that time, I started the whole series in January.^^ Neveper played a BioWare game (not even a different RPG) before.

If you were a fan of the cameoed ME1 characters, then yes.  Mods even locked threads dedicated to these characters.

I'm a bit shocked they let this one continue, since Liara isn't 'important' enough for ME2.

Random announcement - had an epiphany while I was out putting something in the mail - I've worked out exactly how my new Freya/Liara continuity will work, and how I can actually include almost every single idea people have given me.

Good thing, I never wrote in the old forums just watched them from time to time an read some threads i found interesting, but that definitely sounds rather strange. Why would they lock threads about those characters?(if not due to bad behaviour in it)

Ah nevermind. We have these forums/threads here now to discuss about our beloved characters, don't we....

Yeah, I got the idea myself how they could have thought so I edited in into my previous post. Your impression was quite similar to how I imagined it.

She did have a comic book, even though it was god awful.

plus if her DLC turns out to be true then that would make her more important then the other cameo characters.

Although they didnt do a very good job with marketing the new ones exspecially how they marketed Jack was more or less a disaster:whistle:

Why don't they just make a full expansion (with the Liara/SB plot)? Would probably sell quite well. I just prefer a good expansion over small DLC episodes...

If they reveal a Liara-centric expansion at E3 then I'll be ecstatic. We're guaranteed something deep and substantial then!

I wouldn't say guaranteed, but it will give us something to look forward to and hope we aren't disappointed again.

Yeah I remember the stuff about Legion,I think it was Casey Hudson that said that stuff along with a lot of other crap that never happened,I also remember that they stated in light of the disaster around Jack that you could deny her joining your crew
Overall the whole marketing for ME2 failed at least in my case,the character trailers were mostly aweful and in some cases didnt really make the new characters likeable at all
