My friend wants to read some good Liara fan-fics. I got the Tali ones covered, I just need help with the Liara ones. Thanks

"The Distance Between Two Stars", if he's/she's not opposed to sobbing like a **** at sentimental stuff.

My dearest Liara,

It is strange to think, that I haven't seen you since a month.
I have seen the moons on many planets, but not you. I have
seen sunsets and sunrises, but nothing of your beautiful
face. The pieces of my broken heart are so small they can
be pased thorugh the heart of a needle. Truly, I miss you like
the sun misses the flower. Like the sun misses the flower
in the depths of winter. Instead of beauty to direct its light to,
the heart hardens like the frozen world your absence has
banished me to. With my mission done, I shall soon be on
the Citadel. I will find it cold and in the winter if you are not
there.

In the end, hope guides me. It is what gets me through the
day and especially through the night. The hope that after you
are gone from my sight it will not be the last time I look upon
you.

With all the love that I possess, I remain yours, the Spectre of
your heart.

:crying: That's...so sad. It would've been nice to see Shepard act a little more "human" in ME2 and show some emotion, especially towards Liara, her lover. I wish Shepard could have sent a letter like this to her. Hell, why couldn't Shepard and Liara have been in regular correspondence?

Words cannot describe how good that is... though it does sound vaguely familiar :wizard:;)

Even as I was reading it, I had the music from that particular scene going through my head as I read it.

To-do list...
  • Commission #1 (features Liara)
  • Commission #2
  • Commission #3
  • Drawing for Goodwood (features Liara)
  • 500 Word Fanfic for AZ RUSH (features Liara)
  • Drawing of Freya and Liara in combat
  • Drawing for LesEnfantsTerribles (features Liara)
  • Drawing of Freya & Liara getting "busy"
  • Drawing of a pool party (features Shepard, Liara, Garrus, Miranda, Jack & Mordin)
As for my fic universe - I'll be starting it from scratch - I'm a little dissatisfied with the current version. The first fic will be a remake of 'Clearly a Mistake' - but won't feature as much Freya/Liara as the first did - that means I can do a parallel story featuring just Freya and Liara that gives much more attention to them.

But of course ;) and here is the score from the particular scene when the original version of that letter is created/read out, love reflects

Got to thank you in a way, because up until today I didn't realise the score had been released and it was only after reading your post and doing a search on the internet that I found out it had. :)

Hm? Oh, I apologise, Shepard. I was merely checking to see if there had been any news of my DLC.

She sits in front of a terminal in ME 1 and ME 2. Do you think she ever plays any games with it?

Is our Liara like that? I always assumed her bookmarks would be "The 50 Greatest Prothean Digsites in the Galaxy". :D

Or perhaps:

"For All Asari Girls! How to drive your human bondmate wild!"

Don't start with the extranet, or it reminds me again how stupid it is she can't even write Shepard an email. I mean, it's understandable because as long as it doesn't unlock new dialogue, it would be even more unrealistic. But they couldn't even be bothered to give any in-game explanation why she couldn't write, however far-fetched. Not even that!

It's not like Liara doesn't have your email address....she gives it to that Salarian janitor looking for Thane.

TIM and Cerberus are prolly filtering mail from her - tho lots of random stuff does get thru.

It would make perfect sense to have TIM filter out any emails from Liara to Shepard, due to the events of Redemption and TIM being reluctant for Shepard getting close to Liara again, in case Shep finds out and it would compromise the mission due to Shep not trusting TIM for manipulating Liara. It could explain why we don't receive an email from Liara...

...however, we also receive emails from Corporal Toombs, from the Alliance, from Admiral Hackett, from Anderson. So it wouldn't really make sense, as TIM would want Shep's contact with those people severed too

TIM doesn't think Liara is 'trustworthy' though.

I don't think there's anything to this, though. It's just another hole.

Yeah, I'm just trying to think of a connection to the fact that TIM flat out lies about Liara at the start of the game. He doesn't want Shepard to know about what happened in Redemption, as he's worried that it'll cause Shepard to distrust him even further if she found out about how he manipulated Liara, and the true nature of how Cerberus recovered the body.

Ot it could just be a plot hole and sloppy writing. <_<

TIM flat out lies because it's TIM that can't be trusted. I feel sorry for anybody that picks up ME3 and gave the collector base to him in 2. There's no way that can turn out pretty. TIM says Liara can't be trusted also, that alone is enough for me to not be on his side.
