I don't think next week's DLC will be for
something substantial or story-driven (i.e., Liara related), but just
more substantial than 2 helmets.   I'm thinking...more Firewalker
missions.

Or some shiny new N7 missions, kill a bunch of stuff and have a story dictated to you via datapads and audio recordings. No need to pay the main VAs!

Didn't Christina Norman tweet that they've got some story-driven DLC on the way? Couple that with what Michael Gamble said about next week's announcement being something more substantial, and is it possible that this could be the Liara DLC?

I also agree that the latest DA DLC is quite I dont know weak, but judging by some peoples comments there seem to be enough that want to play as the faceless zombie horde which makes me wonder if a "A day in the life of a Husk"DLC would work:huh:

It sure would, as long as you recycle as much assets as possible to lower the production costs. And if they allowed you to kill some of the old companions , I'm sure even more people would buy it. Yes, there are people on the DA forums who look forward to that. :pinched:

Depends on BioWare's definition of story-driven DLC, Les.

Michael hinted at an E3 reveal for the story driven stuff IIRC. I'm awaiting for E3 before I start to give my hopes up on story content.

Or at least adding a health/shield bar to the Hammerhead.

That would actually be nice, but could also be Appearance Pack 2,which is also more supstancial then this weeks release, but I actually expected it to be announced this week so Bioware already managed to be beneath my low expectations once

Well honestly I would have liked the option to kill Morrigan at times,I kind of didnt like how she was some sort of writers pet and basicly invincible but buying a DLC for that not really worth it

The comments really show though it seems to work, although its kind of interesting to see how high the expectations of some are as they go on about learning more about Darkspawn tactics to use against them,or how they will get deep insights into how the darkspawn work, which only makes me scratch my head I mean what kind of tactics did the Darkspawn employ at Ostagar aside from running straight at the enemy oh whatever

Why?  The hammerhead has no shields and like, 10 points of health.

Yeah, I know I said before that I would only get my hopes up for any Liara content at E3, and would keep calm about any DLC prior to that, but it's hard! :P

I just want some sort of confirmation or acknowledgement of the Liara DLC, dammit!!

True, it should also actually get shields and health instead of a thin tinfoil layer protecting the passengers.

I think they just said the DLC would be more 'substantial'...whatever that means.

Yup, if a geth so much as farts in your general direction when your in that thing your dead. Hell, the Mako crashed into a planet from orbit when the SR-1 bit the dust and it was still in one piece.

A bit off-topic, but at least you could shoo her away. I wish I had that freedom with some companions in ME 2.

By the way, there's also a funny mod that allows you to slap Morrigan whenever you wish. That, too, would be welcome in ME 2. :D

As I said even an Appearence Pack would be more substantial then what we got this week, but beyond that yeah Liara DLC is possible though I wouldnt be estatic if it would turn out to be it,otherwise it could be something totally different like I dont know, does the Asari Commando that founded Eclipse still life,I mean we get the chance to kill the Blue suns leader so why not,I may have no idea why we would kill her but it involves a lot of shooting I guess

Christina said this: "For those asking about DLC, trust me, we're releasing story DLC as fast as we can. Item dlc is like a between-meal
snack." Via twitter.

And Mr Gamble said this: "As i alluded to earlier, you can expect a DLC announcement for something larger next week. Trust me, we're very focused on supporting ME2 with DLC. Micro-content packs are not the only things we're doing."

They could be referring to the same thing, or Christina is talking about BW general future plans for DLC, while Gamble is talking specifically about something coming very soon that is merely 'larger' than an item pack (so not necessarily story-driven).

Now that mod would be awesome, but I'd feel sorry for Jacobs everywhere. Can you imagine all the random youtube footage that would pop up of all the characters getting slapped from all angles? That would be a great way to kill an afternoon.

Actually they advertised that you could decline certain characters in ME2,but again they said a lot of stuff

On a sidenote I didnt know that there was a mod like this, but I recall someone put Morrigans model in with the kit and made a video with it how his character killed her over and over, while I find that degree of hate kind of questionable it was funny how Gaider freaked out a little

Yeah, I was just trying to put two and two together, and coming up with a way in which next week's DLC announcement could be for the Liara DLC.

But like you said morrie, Christina could have been talking about future content in general, whilst next week's announcement could be anything that's larger than an item pack, which doesn't have to be anything substantial at all to be so.

On a more positive note, the longer it takes Liara's DLC to release, the greater amount of time they've spent developing and perfecting it. That's good, right?

Did he now? But suddenly they advertise the same "feature", go figure. <_<

But, enough off-topic. We wouldn't want to force anyone from BioWare to monitor our thread, would we? (Hmm, actually...)
