From an artistic pov the picture is well done and looks great

Storywise I would say,while Bioware could go the way turning Liara into an antagonist from where they are now,though I dont hope it does turn out that way,I doubt it would play out this way
The LI gets indoctrinated theory is actually flying around for quite some time,the problem with this of course is to many variables as in there are too many Lis or Shepard couldnt have one,so while the indoctrination part could happen,sort of like Bodhi takes you Li in Baldurs Gate 2,I doubt they make a major antagonist
At least in my books Paul Grayson has the best chances so far to be the face of the reapers

I wouldn't mind Liara becoming antagonistic, but I'm not sure how that plotline would follow from her role in ME2. They didn't do a good job of setting that possibility up, IMO.

If done right, Bioware could have the best romance subplot in an RPG to date. If done right.

DLC = save Shep & Li's daughter...

She is born with all of the racial knowledge of the Protheans and the Reaper secrets they uncovered (supplied by Sheps exposure to the beacons and the cypher) and all of Li's background studying them.



Li's been working hard to keep her safe and under the radar - and can't figure out what Shep's reaction will be since she decided to have the child after Shep had been killed. Any info about the childs origin would make her a prime target for any of the major players in the galaxy to control.



Tell Shep and tip off Cerberus? or worse - compromise Shep's mission to save the Galaxy again.



How would your Shep react? How would Liara react to what Shep might become to protect them both?

Add in Modularized (pieces instead of just one) Collector/BloodDragon/Cerberus armors or a helmet toggle on/off and a swanky new weapon or 2 and its a sell.



but it will probably be a Quarian faces pack ;-P

Exactly.  However, they now have 9 romance sublots to deal with in ME3, not to mention tons of subplots for all these other new characters.  I doubt they will put the time into Liara's to be able to pull something like that off.

Well there are some ways,maybe in a Bastillaesque maner getting consumed by her revenge stuff,or having her "snap" should she find Feron dead,hell they could even go the "power corrupts" path should they really have her take over the SBs organisation,now I dont say those are well done scenarios or that they would feel like a logical follow up to what we see in ME2,but they could take that route
In the end though I guess should there be any Liara content for ME2 be it DLC or Addon,it will decide what we can expect in ME3 I guess

I'm banking on a Bastila/Aribeth style consumed by revenge thing. I love "redemption through love" stories, cliched as they are, so I'd love it if that happened to Liara. It would motivate me to run through ME again and romance her.

Well it would not necessary that she turns on Shepard,but there would be the question what would be the other way around,could Shepard accept what she has become esspecially in case of a paragon.
Or if they want to go all the way with drama and force Shepard to put her down,because of her "corruption"

Though in any case such a scenario would take quite some ressources to make and we have the whole reaper invasion thing and other Lis so its hard to do it in a satisfying way

I just don't think there's enough time to pull this off properly, given they have the other 8 LIs to worry about, plus the Reaper plot.     They did more with those two others as they were one of only two romances in the entire game.

I think this would be very very interesting.  Could Shepard accept Liara's 'flaws' and still love her regardless?  This would pertain to Paragon Shepards and even some Renegade ones....some Renegades like Liara and her romance because they like the idea of Liara playing the calming foil to their Renegades' ruthless passions.

You known what... i think that despite lack of communication from Bioware staff i think ME 3 could be quite different from what we saw in ME 2.

Why?, because i got yesturday small (however understandable when rEApers watched behind his back) e-mail from Drew Karpyshyn himself and he assure me that ME 3 will answer at many our concerns.



Hmmm... if he after all did spare little time to actually answer me (i never tought he will to be honest) then maybe there is still spark of hope in this dark tunnel of deseration?
