But what you are talking about is when you are activly changing/evolving the relationship. What i want is the relationship change in a more passive way too. I use my same example again.

Let's say you killed all the colonist on Feros. Before the mission you talked to Liara and she told you she was interrested in you, but after the mission she is slightly sickend by Shepard's action.

What I'm trying to say is that i also want the relationship to evolve in other ways than directly doing something with the LI option (like talking with them) but also have them react to things that are not related to them.

Ah right, I understand you now.

Yeah, that would have been very nice, and could make the romances feel more vibrant and "alive", but I also think that they neglected to implement something like that because there would've been way too many variables for it to be manageable. You'd have literally hundreds of possibilities just with Liara alone, and that's not even including Ashley and Kaidan.

Would have been great, though!

Yes i know it's practicly impossible to make. Which is way im annoyed by the renegade scars in ME2, unless they are used as foreshadowing to a plot twist in ME3.

"EDIT" Am i'm the only one one these boards who are bothered by the renegade scars?!

No they bother me too, unless of course they would really serve a purpose in ME3 at least, personally I like to think its because Cerberus toyed around with reaper tech while reviving Shepard and thats the result of the whole "Sith Lord" thing if your renegade

Nah, come to think of it I think it's pretty daft that nobody comments on them too.

As Liara has been haunted with the guilt for handing the body over to Cerberus, and has been worried what they will do to Shepard, then how is she going to feel when Shepard shows up scarred like that? She'd be mortified.

Well in Kotor 1 they still adressed you as Jedi even if you were completely Darkside so its not that suprising, but I agree some people should react to it

This. Liara would end up feeling even more guilty than she does already.

They are completely out of place. I like how realistic ME games try to be. All the codec entries are much more "doable" than most other sci-fi / fantasy settings. It doesn't belong in the ME universe.

Also what Les said, poor Liara seeing Shepards face scarred up :(

About that e-mail.

I am sorry but he was pretty enigmatic because as i suspect because his direct involvement in whole project he is under non disclosure agreement so no specyfic infos outside Bioware core team.

Somehow i think that best indicator of ME 3 potential will be that incoming story DLC.

IF he will be good then there will be hope for next game... and if not then well...

There was potential for a truly emotional scene if they had Liara react to the scars, but nooo Bioware once again wasted their chance.

Urgh.... Wasted potential, thats what ME2 is!

Well, remember the last time Liara saw Shepard, he/she was in much worse shape. I think she would be able to handle scars. Yeah, there probably would have been a comment on her part, but I don't think she'd be mortified.

Now I wonder if Liara opened Shep's 'coffin' at some point during the trip to the Cerberus station to get a peak at the body.

really last thing before i go-explanation- it's simple:
1. going OFFLINE =shutting down all IT devices -except router of course-going to bed sometimes instant-sometimes even 2hrs later [movies in tv and that stuff...]=]
2. you live in the US-i in central Europe-that means different time zones- conclusion is :
i think it's just you:P

She should have...to make sure she had the right stuff.  Maybe it was a decoy and there were just rocks in there?

I would have asked someone else to do it, I could't see my lover in that condition, what a haunting memory!

Regardless, she saw Shepard's body and the full extent of the damage. Must have been awful to see the person you love and care for reduced to nothing but meat and tubes.

That's the person that Liara loves and cares for, and entered into the asaro union with the night before Ilos. To see that person reduced to that must have been incredibly traumatic for her.

Shame that was never really touched upon. At least they've got the guilt for handing the body over to Cerberus, and the fear that Shepard will hate her.

Yeah, she probably made Miranda check.  But, if it was a bunch of rocks, whoa boy would Miranda be pissed!

I think it would be traumatic even for a Liara that didn't romance Shepard.  Shepard was still a friend and a person she worked closely with.

Now...meat and tubes.

I couldn't imagine how I'd feel seeing that. I couldn't imagine waking up and knowing that happened to me either.
