Here's another nice piece of fanart of the two best Mass Effect ladies:
*snip*

I like the styling, it's very comic-like and toony. Liara looks great too!

so true-LiLi has her style here too-and btw finally someone appeared=]

Hello!
The comic style is quite nice, imo...
although Liara looks a bit scary to me here.
But still quite nice picture.

Aside from Liara always referring to Ashley as "Miss Wlliams" in a very respectful way, and Ashley showing genuine concern for Liara after Benezia dies, a potential relationship and friendship between the two of them is never really explored.

I think that they would be great friends, and get on really well together. I need to roll with Ashley and Liara at one point, as I really want to hear the dialogue between them,

Another thing I've been thinking about. When you confront Benezia on Noveria, I wonder how shocking it was for Liara to see her mother acting in that way? Judging by how Liara wonders if Benezia has gone insane or is evil I think you can assume that non-indoctrinated Benezia isn't ruthless and threatening like that, and it must have been incredibly jarring for Liara seeing her mother threatening to kill her. I know their relationship cooled somewhat and they grew distant, but Benezia obviously loved Liara and raised her right and in a proper way. For Liara to see her acting in that manner must have been heartwrenching for her.

Benezia definitely wasn't a cruel or ruthless person, if you believe the things Liara and Shiala have said about her.   Shiala tells Shepard that she taught religion and philosophy and was an advocate for peace and harmony in life.  She sounds like Yoda.  Liara agrees to remember the person she was not the one she bacame so, I'm going to say that Benezia was a completely different person pre-indoctrination.

Yeah, I wanted to ask this before: How is it with the pictures from deviantart? Is it "allowed" to embed them directly? Don't want to anger the artists either.

Exactly, it must have been awful and incredibly traumatising for Liara to witness her mother acting in that way, and being forced to by her indoctrination.

I wish that Liara and Benezia's relationship had been explored a little further. There's a lot of potential there. Is there a possibility that we'll get that chance in ME3? That even though Benezia is dead, Liara may talk about her or tell Shepard about their relationship leading up to the events of ME1? This could be possible, especially if Liara's father is introduced or revealed at some point.

I'm sure you can; just put a link to their DA page as well.

That should be ok as long as you dont claim it as your own...and a link to the Da Page of the Artist would be always nice.

Hmm, Liara going under cover as a bounty hunter perhaps? That's what came to mind anyway.

I agree, it definitely has some potential although i doubt that it'll be a topic to talk about in ME3. Maybe some smaller lines from Liara but i guess that will not reaveal anything new.
The Liaras father "plot" on the other hand might be something that could be explained, imo. (Aethya [is that spelled right? ^^] for Liaras father!) Could be a topic for some emotional, in-deph discussion with Liara then.
"But that's just my opinion though, there's really no need go spread it around..."

Definitely. Although it could be quite a difficult and emotional revelation for Liara, it could be very interesting, and give ample opportunity for alot of deep and emotional Liara screentime and dialogue, with some intimate and tender moments between Liara and Shepard as well, if Liara is upset over the whole affair and you can be supportive and comforting to her.

I'm not sure if I do want Liara to learn of the identity of her father, though. She's already suffered enough these past two years, and to see her put through the emotional wringer again would be pretty heart-wrenching.
