I really, really hope ME 3 isn't going to be a linear, railroaded "rally your armies" kind of game. There are moments when you have to sacrifice story logic for good gameplay. It's only that BioWare apparently forgot when it's appropriate, and when not. I already didn't like when ME 2 forced me to go somewhere I didn't intend to go at that moment. An RPG should offer the freedom to go where you want, and to advance the main story when you want. That's why I see no problem with including side missions, hopefully many.

Really? I'll have to disagree with you there. Mostly because Bioware have to give the reaper plot alot of focus and atention. Why? Because ME2 did almost nothing at all to advance it, so ME3 have to give alot more to cover up for lost time in ME2.

Yes, the reaper plot has to be the focus, finally. I just don't want to see an even more linear game. I don't want a movie with shooter elements. I want an RPG with shooter elements. RPG among other things means side quests, and freedom to choose your own path and pace.

As long as they don't butcher the plot so bad that the reapers turn out to be,I don't know, giant care bears or something...

*Edit* For those of you wondering, what I had in mind when I made this was Liara was assumed-direct-control of by a Reaper Sub-Entity. And the name Gemini came to mind. *shrug*

Uh oh, scary. 

But I have a question, indoctrinated persons still act by themselves. Reapers do not speak through them, Harby was an exception because the Collectors were specially engineered to make this possible.

Another caption which would say "Indoctrinated Liara" would fit better. Though this idea is more scary, even though not that realistic.

Edit: Creepier would be if the text in the caption would be Liara but indoctrinated saying something similar but from her "I" perspective with a husky voice.
