[TMA LIVE]

I'm re-playing my old ME1 female Shepard (well, I restarting her from scratch, but she's based on the original character I made, with some upgrades, facial tweaks, and a proper level up build). She's the Colonist/Sole Survivor type, so she's has a horrible past, but continues to beat the odds.

Anyways, her original character story was supposed to go something like this:

My Shepard didn't romance Liara. She told Liara she has feelings for her, but ends up picking Kaidan instead. Because, even though she loves her, she thought it was wrong and romanced Kaidan instead (because she wanted something normal). So she's forced to continue living in pain for not romancing her, but Kaidan seems like a nice guy. Kaidan then gets blown up, allowing Shepard to do nothing but think and regret, till finally she gives in to desire, and romances Liara in future ME sequel (at least that was the plan). Telling her she's sorry for lying to her, and for doing what she did, and asks for forgiveness.

Anyways, I think this would also work with current events, because then my Shepard would believe Liara's actions in ME2 were all her fault. Again, making my Shepard a tragic character, with hopefully a happy ending.

I love it.  You're making up for the complete absence of passion in ME2.

That's an interesting way to roleplay the relationship.  It might be possible to romance Liara in ME3 if you didn't in ME2.

This I asked myself a couple of times also! What if you didn't romance Liara (or Ash/Kaidan) in ME 1, will you be able to do this in ME3?? Interesting question.

It was posted in a bigger size in the motivationals thread. It looks much better when Thane dances than if Shep does it.

Shepard: Joker, plot a course for Illium.

Joker: Aye aye Commander.

Shepard: EDI, schedule shore leave for the entire crew on Illium.

EDI: As you wish Commander. How long will they be on leave?

Shepard: Lets start with 3 days, and we'll see what happens.

EDI: Logging you out Shepard.



After docking at Illium and making sure the crew has disembarked, Shepard quickly rushes to Liara's office and escorts her back to the Normandy, and shows Liara to the Captains Quarters.

Shepard: EDI, shut off your sensors to my cabin until further notice.

EDI: Commander, that is not standard procedure. With the entire crew on shore leave you could be in danger.

Shepard: Just do it EDI, thats an order.

EDI: As you wish, Shepard. Logging you out.

Shepard turns and enters her cabin to find Liara has already changed and made herself comfortable.

Liara: Shepard, I noticed my picture on your desk. So you do not hate me for giving you to Cerberus?

Shepard: I could never hate you Liara. What's important is the reason you did it. Tell me Liara, tell me the real reason.



Liara: Take my hand, my love, and never let it go. I will show you why I brought you back.

Well, considering Default Shepard is romanceless, I figure they have to make it an option to allow you a second chance to romance Ash/Kaidan/Liara. Otherwise, default Mass Effect 3 players can't romance them. My guess is it'll run the same way the first game did, and allow the romance to reboot if they're pursued. However, if you've already moved on to someone else in ME2, then you'll either have to choose, or your ME2 will breakup with you the moment they see you with you with your ME1 interest. And vise vera with ME1 characters seeing you with your ME2 LI. But I really don't know. Just trying to think outside the box.
