Whopper has even less hopes for the virmire survivor then he does for LiaraShavon wrote...
E3 reveals good thingslat year was Thane, so this year ought to be good news about Liara and possibly even the Virmire survivor! I certainly hope so!

In fact, what if Liara is featured in the first teaser trailer for ME3? It could depict Sheploo fighting alone in the midst of battle, with Liara's voice over the top talking about him and the battles ahead.

Wouldn't it be awesome if, when the ME3 marketing hype starts, Liara is featured prominently alongside Sheploo as one of the poster characters? A huge plot and squadmate role is all but a certainty if that were the case.

Liara deserves to be on the front of ME3. These's a good chance she will be, she's easy on the eyes and she and Shep are the only two squadies that are definitely alive in all ME3-importable playthroughs. Hearing Liara narrating a trailer, especially like the one you describe Les would be brilliant.

"Commander Shepard..."
"... first human Spectre, saviour of the Citadel."
"He proved the existance of a terrifying enemy... a race of sentient machines continuing a repeating cycle of genocide."
"Only he can break this cycle..."
"... but if he fails..."
"...the galaxy dies with him."

Ah, yes, I can see it now. I magine there are several 'flashes' in between narration 'breaks' (also assume, for simplicities sake, that Shepard is male (sorry FShep players, insert relevant text where necessary)):

Yeah, you're right. Liara always seemed to be a passive observer to most of the events within the trilogy (depending on circumstances and situations), so it seemed fitting that she would be a narrator of sorts.

Whopper can still make another character for ME1 and import it into ME2.

One thing that we discussed a few days ago is if Liara can be deemed a personification of the trilogy, it's story and the Mass Effect universe itself? In ME1, we operate mostly in Citadel space. We're shown a very idealised sci-fi universe, everything seems very innocent and efficient, it's a very virtuous setting. We get a very happy, innocent, somewhat naive and caring Liara.
In ME2, we operate in the Terminus Systems. We're surrounded by slavers, pirates, mercenary gangs. The setting is alot more bleak, everything is alot more corrupt. We get a hardened and saddened Liara who has lost some of her naivette, and idealism. She's alot more jaded.
Is it possible that Liara is a personification of the trilogy itself?

Idk, that may be a little to deep for the fluffy writing iof ME 2
j/k That's an interesting take on Liara's character. i guess we'll just have to wait and see what they do with her in ME3

Let's see... In ME 1, Liara was very beautiful and the developers crafted her role with care, effort and a lot of attention. In ME 2, she looks a bit grey and has a short, obviously quickly thrown together role that doesn't even make much sense because important bits of information and dialogue are missing.
Yep, I can see clear similarities with the respective games as a whole.
