One thing that we discussed a few days ago is if Liara can be deemed a personification of the trilogy, it's story and the Mass Effect universe itself? In ME1, we operate mostly in Citadel space. We're shown a very idealised sci-fi universe, everything seems very innocent and efficient, it's a very virtuous setting. We get a very happy, innocent, somewhat naive and caring Liara.
In ME2, we operate in the Terminus Systems. We're surrounded by slavers, pirates, mercenary gangs. The setting is alot more bleak, everything is alot more corrupt. We get a hardened and saddened Liara who has lost some of her naivette, and idealism. She's alot more jaded.
Is it possible that Liara is a personification of the trilogy itself?
I thought of this too. While it may not be intentional by the ME team, it is true that Liara has so far reflected the feel of both games.
Heh, perhaps when we discover what the ME3 buzzwords are, we can get an idea of how Liara will be in the next game...
